I similarly can't deal with a lot of florals. My current "signature" scents are Feminite du Bois by Serge Lutens (woody spice) and Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors (strawberry + smoky wood + somehow they created a note that to me reads as nostalgia) I've smelled Strawberry Letter! I like it, but it also reminds me of the old Very Irresistible EDP which I wore during a period of life I don't care to spend time ruminating on, so I feel conflicted 😂
Oh I totally know what you mean. There are certain fragrances that take us back in a way that can almost become sticky and uncomfortable. If it reminds you of a year that is no longer you then it’s no thank you
Notes from a Super Taster: Phlur Strawberry Letter smelled firstly very childish and like strawberry candy, but then quickly turned rather mature. Really didn't like it, gave it to my sister. Snif Soda Snob smelled like flat Coke and burning flowers. Snif Slice Society is the winner for me. It smells like an Italian kitchen, herbal food fragrant, bread baking, and someone's grandmother running around to keep things from burning at the bottom of pots. That's what it smells like to me. I quite love it. Another one I'm very excited for is Commodity's new Juice that has rhubofix and raspberries and strawberries and cherries with rose underneath. I have a sample of all 3 of their scent space formulas arriving Monday!
My Snif order came today and I’m thrilled!!! The free sample of Rose Era is fantastic. I absolutely love it and I’ll be getting the full big bottle. Crumb Couture might be too gourmand for me, but it might not. I never like gourmand but this one I like! I’ll have to see how it wears on me! But the Soda Snob…I LOVE IT!! I love the citrus smell, it is like a cola! I can’t wait to have everyone smell them when they come home and see if they can tell the inspiration scents! I had not heard of Snif until you posted this about them. I couldn’t be happier! Plus their small bottle is actually quite generous and the packaging and presentation is absolutely GORGEOUS! I’ve found my new obsession and future gifts for everyone! Woot!

Snif and phlur are so modern. I love those houses. Soda snob is a new favorite and a compliment getter I personally don't love strawberry letter. I picked up something inexpensive about it

Thank you for introducing me/us to a new niche segment of perfumes. I absolutely hear you. For example, the scents such as Chanel 5 are really unappealing to me. Gives me the headache that you mentioned. The ones you have reviewed are really compelling.
I love your intro! It really captures the essence of your channel and all of your experience very well! 💁🏻♀️ I’m not generally as a rule a gourmand fragrance person, but I’ve discovered there are always exceptions to rules. When you find one, it’s even more surprising and delightful. I despise flowery fragrances (especially rose and gardenia) but I found from a sample set that I actually love Ellis Brooklyn Florist (which has a big gardenia note) and Tory Burch Sublime Rose (Rose obviously). Who knew??! I definitely want to try the Ellis Brooklyn Apple Love and the Phlur Strawberry Letter in store. You have definitely made me intrigued to look into Snif! I’m definitely getting some of the small samples to try them! ❤ Edited to add: I just got a small 10oz of Crumb Couture and of Soda Snob and they are sending a sample of Rose Era! I’m excited!! 🤗

I started looking for some new fragrances last fall. My favorite Sephora samples are the fragrances of late. I am primarily looking for gourmand scents although a fresh fruity scent with a tad bit of floral is also interesting. I am thankful so many fragrances have travel sizes so when I find a scent I would like to get to know better I'm not committing to a significant relationship. The brand Ellis Brooklyn caught my eye early as did 7 virtues. I have both of their vanillas and prefer Ellis Brooklyn if vanilla is the only scent I am wearing. Had high hopes for Ellis Brooklyn Bee but it disappears on me very quickly. I have also picked up a few Kayali scents and I enjoy layering 7 virtues vanilla with Yum pistachio. I also like Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit - it's a fantastic bright fruity fresh fragrance. Snif is new to me; thanks for introducing me!
My mother always wore Shalimar. Later she switched to Youth Dew. Like you florals give me killer headaches. My absolute favorite is Tom Ford’s, Lost Cherry. I recently bought myself the travel spray. I also really like Lira by Casamorati. That is a vanilla. I really used to like Comptoir Sud Pacific. They are still out there but a bit more difficult to find. My favorite was Vanille Abricot. I’m very particular. I don’t but a full size perfume without a sample or a trial size so that I can really test it over a number of days. My problem is that my skin just eats fragrance. Which in a couple of hours I can’t be smelled. Lost Cherry doesn’t do that neither does Lira. I love some Chanel fragrances, Mademoiselle and Chance….even, Chanel #5. But, they give me migraines. This video was a lot of fun.😊
I love the gourmand fragrances but I wear primarily Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, which isn’t gourmand, maybe warm floral. I am tempted to expand my horizons and you provided some options for me to consider. ❤❤❤❤
These are kind of fun and it’s kind of really the cutting edge of gourmand fragrance without being silly. I wish you could smell more of them in person.

What a fab video! I fell hard for 'Jo loves Gingerbread' which was limited edition and am rationing a lesser gingery version of Jo Malone's Ginger Beer (also limited edition). Crossing fingers it reappears for the holidays when I will stock up. I like Cinnamon as a fragrance component too, but it can over power.
I prefer gourmand fragrances, specifically vanilla and berries, but not anything with honey or melons. I can't do floral heavy ones. I also like fragrances that have sandalwood.
@NotFitforPrintBeauty my local fragrance shop doesn't have lost Cherry, so I could do with go the Trafford Centre in Manchester because they have Selfrides and they now have a Sephora store.

Ordered a candle in Crumb too. 🕯️ Haven’t had the opportunity to smell the Strawberry letter. Fragrance can bring back so many memories. As a Teen in the 1960’s I wore Jean Nate. Max Factor, Revlon, Lanvin , Helena Rubinstein, Coty, Dior, & Lauder had very memorable scents and TV/magazine commercials/ads. Lots of fragrances to choose from. I don’t know why, but Goldie Hawn just popped into my head from her days in “Laugh In”. 😂 See, fragrance brings back memories 😉 Hugs 🤗 ~CeCe 🌹
Hello, sounds very interesting. I don't think you can get the Sniff brand here (Austria) in the "normal" way, but it reminds me of the brand "Demeter/The Library of Fragrance". In an experimental test phase, I bought and tested the craziest fragrances there. The only one I like to wear on my skin is "Kitten Fur" :-)) A very good strawberry-vanilla gourmand fragrance I had was Versilia Aurum by Profumi del Forte. Soo good, but I broke the bottle quite quickly because the center of gravity was at the top of the heavy cap and not at the bottom, somehow a design flaw - glass bottle too thin etc. :-( Now you can no longer buy it. At the moment I am testing coffee fragrances as far as possible (I have my eyes on the Maison Tahite brand) and would also be interested in a good banana fragrance. I collect fragrances and they are my passion, unfortunately sometimes also an expensive hobby ;-D All the best,Maria

I love anything with Vanilla but not strong either for eg i bought the Brazilian Bum Bum cream and i couldn’t deal with the smell after a day it was too much so i gave it away to a friend however The Coke fragrance sounds 😋 i bet Vanilla Coke or Cherry Coke would be amazing too!
Yes. The bum bum cream was delightful at first but was too much within a day. And my daughter wears it and I don’t want her to spray it in the house anymore. I could totally combine the soda with a van or with the Tom Ford cherry and it would be exactly exactly as you describe
I have not checked the ingredients as that would tell us more but to my nose I have not smelled almond. It’s not really a scent I like. Like I don’t like almond flavored croissants and all of that stuff so I’m guessing I would pick up on it if it were there and I have never sensed it.
I have not smelled the Strawberry Letter but Lauren Mae has a huge in-depth review on it over on her fragrance channel. Scents are so hard to convey in videos tho. I'm intrigued by the red bottle of that Strawberry scent plus it reminds me of that Strawberry Letter 23 song that is featured in the Quentin Tarantino film "Jackie Brown"...one of my favorites!! 😊
I've been on a lifelong quest to find a fragrance that smells like Dr. Pepper, but evidently no one can get it right because the original recipe is _so_ secret. I blind ordered "She Loves Red" by The Dua Brand because of a recommendation -- it's not even close! 😞-- as well as some fragrance oils that _claim_ to smell like Dr. Pepper. Nope! They just smell like root beer 🤢Anyone have any thoughts?
They matched the Dr. Pepper scent exactly back in the 70’s & 80’s with the Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. Also, with technology these days I think the secret recipe for Dr. Pepper is easily figured out. These days a chemist can take any perfume and have the formulation broken down easily from what I understand, so I would think that is the case with food and drinks as well.
Wow, I missed one morning and you go all perfume on me… lol I actually just got coco shimmy a week ago and really liked it. I was on the hut for a coconut scent but not too sweet. I just picked up Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar in smaller version to try so I’ll have to see about that one, but really love the vanilla milk one. I heard a review when I purchased it and at first wasn’t thrilled but it was that it didn’t really smell like what someone described. But I purchased the full size and began liking it, also with another scent, like the one from Jones Road. I think I’m not into the sweet, fruity gourmands, so I’m not sure the apple one or these cherry scents are for me. But I’m definitely interested in that strawberry scent so please report back. Might venture into that snif crumbs or possibly soda🤔🌸🥐
My fragrance videos never do that well. I admit that I just do them for me and for the few people who find them fun. I have to try the strawberry one but, you might have noticed, in comments the strawberry one is getting some mixed reviews.
