My fighting lion feels more like a " Annoying kitten " ever since they nerfed that gun. Like , nobody but 5 people used that grenade launcher and Bungo said " yeah , nerf it , its too op"
Agreed. I also dislike the fact that they keept nerfing the reload to where it’s a pain in the arse to use in PvE. Yes, it’s great with Gyrfalcon, but the reload is atrociously slow.
Cammy, showing why I consider Stasis Lock to be S+ Tier, that sub class is frightening in skilled hands. Also Cammy has more eliminations on his Fighting Lion than I do my highest gun, Final Warning at 800 eliminations😅
It falls apart in larger maps against good players. Still usable, but if they avoid your coldsnaps and know that the Stasis lock kit isn't very good for aggressive play, then it suddenly gets easy to play around. Small maps however, it is easily S or S+ imo.
@@peacelovemetal5197 It's absurdly fun to play, and is easily one of the most flavorful subs, but yeah. It falls off really hard after a certain point; people get used to your shenanigans. That said, if I'm building for the melee, I do that on Prismatic to great effect; It sucks not having freeze rift or iceflare bolts, but it's super nice to have more comfortable grenades that don't have a mind of their own. Plus Hellions/Bleak Watcher and Devour are also really nice, too.
For those of you that dont know, empowering rift is the best pairing with frostpulse because the animation is faster. You can melee absurdly fast out of a rift cast with it. Pretty fun
I didn't want to believe that Snipelion could be bad, but especially in that Rumble game from 10:47, I can see just how hard you're playing your positioning and how on point the freezes and lions need to be. How the mighty have fallen.
@@Mysticmingas Almost. You need another ability usage in addition to that. Winter's shroud is 40 slow, bombardiers is 20 in pvp (40 in pve), you need 100 to freeze. And to be honest, stasis hunters just need Shurikens to be anything more than outright useless beyond the fact that they technically count as an ability for perks like Surplus or heart of inmost light on the class item, especially and particularly in pvp. Shurikens have worse aim assist than the majority of ranged melee abilities, provide some of the lowest damage of any ability in the game, and the slow effect they provide isn't even enough to freeze if you land both of them with a 1:40 cooldown (you need a total of 3 abilities to freeze on stasis hunter at all, not counting bombardiers' extra slow or a scenario where someone stands in a duskfield unrealistically long (an outright misplay on their part)). Not the ability to freeze with a single class ability usage and nothing else with the lowest class ability cooldown in the game. edit: The bombardiers + winter's shroud combo giving 60 slow rather than 40 is still solid though. Just the fact that it makes it harder to avoid the explosive is a good combination alone - could be a war crime on Prismatic to pair with one of the other bombardier debuffs - but the 60 slow should mean you can do two abilities to freeze rather than three.
hey cammy, i’ve got a good one for ya: any blinding grenade launcher, skyburner’s oath, solar titan. it’s hilariously bad, but very fun. i ran it with dunemarchers and was laughing my head off the whole time
bequest with heavy guard and enhanced energy transfer is what i used with this subclass, not the best but good to counter this hunter spam meta in 6v6s
I wish they'd nerfed lion by making it harder to use instead of just making it worse. Such a high skill ceiling with that weapon and I think it's better to lower the skill floor and raise the ceiling than it is to just lower the ceiling. Snipers at the skill ceiling are more overpowered than infinite heavy ammo, but the ceiling is high enough that they're well balanced for most of the population, I wish they'd have gone for a similar approach with lion.
I'm a retirning D2 player and I muat ask, where do you get the Veiled Threat from? Honestly wouldn't even care to craft it I just want one cause its Stasis and it looks cool lol
@@shade7728 you may be able to get one without the season pass if there's one in the rank-up rewards for the free to play rewards. I can't remember. I know some of the other seasonal weapons are obtainable that way.
I feel like someone should report what happens at 17.20 to some kind of authorities right? We can't have Cam just getting away with that kind of violation..
Maining Shadebinder (or rather, used to - since having moved on to other things now I've finished my Journey with Destiny) glad to see it's always on the periphery and even in this meta it still has its place, particularly noteworthy of being able to shut out the counterpick of Weavewalk Warlock (To counter Prism 'Kitchen Sink' Hunter). I still used to switch between Frost Pulse & Stasis Turret for the maps and have been a long time enjoyer of Ice Flare Bolts just because of the absolute chaos they can cause (and are still incredibly potent for reversals via Frost Pulse rift, and to a lesser degree Cold snap grenades). If I was still playing i'd love to try and find a way to make Ballidorse do work in PvP. I don't know how it fares with the Salvations Edge Aggressive Stasis Sniper since the body shot changes, and i doubt even with the Stasis Surges it can convert anything to body shots - but i'm always up for being wrong. That and it's an aggressive sniper, so you've always got the out of a headshot invalidating much of the build around. Haven't thought about if there's any potential combinations to make it work - not when you have the consistency pick of Osmiomancy (or standard PvP fare of Ophidians/Transversives). Would be interesting Cammy if you did have any thoughts on it.
the meta where bungie lays off all their employees and the community is so incredibly upset over it they make angry tweet and reddit posts but still play the game?
All those insta freezes but stasis hunter got nerfed into the ground the third week stasis was out. This just proves the community hates on hunters just because 💀
Think you're getting warlock confused, because warlocks had the melee targeting gutted week one, the super was adjusted three times in the first month (one was from a damage bug, that's valid), and we didn't get cold snap gauntlets until much later so nades weren't great outside of old duskfield which got nerfed for everyone. Hunters, however, were adjusted because of the mega sized duskfield from back then and the aspect they had, had shatterdive fixed because it killed SUPERS, the melee reduced on how many slow stacks it afflicts months later even though it almost always hit someone when blindly throwing at a corner as if it was Caliban's, etc. Nah, warlocks gotta actually see the targets and be extremely close, the reason hunters got fixed months later is because they didn't need to even see the opponent. Titan also got gutted between the two because of the slide and the super, but you def ain't complaining then.
Actually no I’m not confused. Besides the cold snap grenade hunters don’t have an instant freeze option. It literally takes dodging next to someone and hitting them with both shurikens to even freeze anybody(idek if that works anymore) but stasis hunter got nerfed to unusable week 3 stasis was out. Warlocks have 3 instant freeze options being their melee, rift, and if they run a cold snap grenade. That is busted as hell but no one cares cause it’s not a hunter.. I don’t even see why yall are commenting trying to argue this shit when it’s literally right in front of yall. People just love hating on hunters for no reason. They call this balanced but the one thing stasis hunter had going for it(shatterdive) got nuked by nerfs literally the same month stasis dropped 💀 this shit is busted idc what anyone says. Oh wait it’s a warlock tho so no one cares. This community is sad asf
