The troopers of two starships have joined forces to terminate a massive bug attack at a Federation outpost. Before the mission can be completed and the survivors evacuated, one ship abruptly departs and goes inexplicably dark. The remaining battle-hardened troopers race to the rescue only to discover that the threat from the bugs is about to hit home.

@7:27 did he die because he didn't get to turn his boots magnets on? Carmen was tossed around in her seat and she didn't even have straps or a belt the other guys had their magnets but were shaken up a lot Daugherty was still in his stance defending captain, so it doesn't look like he got tossed around in the impact

He died because he set his mag boots to a locked position (likely to act as a fixed turret) to not be thrown in the chaos of turbulence. He either didn't hear the order to change his boots to the magnetic safe mode or chose to ignore it as he knew bugs might reach Carmen if he moved even for a second. He died from the G forces appllied during sudden deceleration.

Trig did everything a sniper is told NOT to do.....mainly, she pulled the trigger instead of squeezing it.

4:41 Terrible trigger pull, no wonder her shot went wide. Also the gun ejected the shell when she fired. Why tf would she rack the charging handle again?

@@tmod231 its an animated movie about giant alien bugs. Why don't you comment on the flight characteristics of the ships? Or the power needs of that many lasers? And your assuming its a semi-automatic rifle. That charging handle looks way oversized, maybe a simplified bolt action on that non existent rifle.

Read if u like long sentences. Most probable cause of death : was not informed to initiate his magnetic stabilisers nor was he seated before impact due too attention split between safeguarding the captain and keeping the arachnids at bay. Inertia, and g-force at such a sudden and large scale was bound to damage the internal organs (most likely the heart).

Without too much on details, his suit became a blender while he stood his ground against the bugs. The entire force of the crash landing, and all of the g's that came with it, shook his insides to the point of killing him, turning his own power suit into his coffin. At least he died holding off the bugs to the point his suit remained still while he died inside of it so he did his duty.
