100%!! I personally think it’s because a lot of young people (myself included) have come to love short, out-of-context and obscure humour more than longer bits!! If that makes sense lol.
I've got to say. As a Brit, I didn't grow up with SNL so I don't have any biases towards certain actors or series. I compared the old SNL skits from the 70s - late 90s to the newer skits from 2000 onwards and I personally think the newer sketches and cast from the past 20 years are absolutely brilliant. I'm jealous (and surprised!) that we don't have an equivalent show in Britain. I truly enjoy watching this show.
@@ryanmccaffery9027 Definitely. I think there's definitely been some good cast members (Cecily, Kate, Pete, Colin, Michael), but no GREAT ones or standouts.
“Exactly what it sounds like, sir… two people showing off backpacks like they’re working a runway…. It’s very fun and silly but, they know it’s silly” 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
People say that snl is not funny and I kinda agree with them but when you put funny moments from not funny skits it tells you that snl still has some great moments
Yeah in live sketches there’s always sketches that work and doesn’t work. I don’t know where to start but the fact that they do the whole process every week (except for the months they’re on break) is impressive. Not to mention people have different senses of humor so a sketch I think is funny might not be so happy for another person
@@MA-gn5nl one of the last sketches that made me laugh hard was the macys christmas but it always depends on timing of the year and who is the host and the people who are in the sketch and how fresh the jokes
@@yorgeesmorgee yep SNL writers have to think about the different host each week and what their niches in comedy are, which I think also drives whether a sketch works or not. kudos to them
@@MA-gn5nl yeah some hosts can work even if they are not comedians or actors but some just dont work. like elon musk but some can work like adam driver
I've watched like 1000 of those videos but you are the first one I saw who included Aidy's verse from Twin Bed. You are my favorite person on the planet, thank you so much.
