Koolin' Wit K Teena Marie was the real deal. She had a love for r&b that her very own people refused to play her songs at their radio stations. She married a black man and lived amongst black people and raised her daughter within black culture. Unlike the impersonator, she’s wearing black culture like the Kardashians. Nothing about her says creator everything screams safe. It’s almost like she’s trying to become her completely, it’s scarey . Most artist are influenced by other creators but when you are literally trying to imitate an artist from mannerism, style of dress and energy… it’s body snatching. Then again Sade is half black I am not surprise a nonblack is emulating another sister. Tina Marie sang soulful RB because it was in her essence .
