Is it just me or do pilchards just die no matter what you do I literally take a ten minute drive with an airator and boom half of em are dead

I was able to keep them alive overnight, airator, and some ice packs, but it seems some groups are a lot more finicky than others

Water temp is a HUGE factor. You gotta keep them cool. Also you cant over load your live well. Another thing is dont wear lotion or insect repellent and shit on your hand if you are gonna reach in. Use a small net. Hope that helps.
