I have been watching your videos for about 2 weeks and implemented a few of your tips. WOW, improved much, to a point where my buddy asked if I was on steroids, lol. Still need to unlearn the bad habits, definitely getting there with your help. Thanks for your efforts. Cape Town, South Africa.

When you use a trace/touch of helping side, do you have to make the adjustment and allow for the deflection and throw of the cue ball or just go for the aiming point you chose as if it was centre ball striking? Please guide.

Hi. I'm thinking of getting a new cue, but if I bought one with a medium tip, would it mean that I wouldn't have as much power as if I chose one with a hard tip? Is that something you'd explain in a video? Thank you. I love the channel by the way

Very interesting! Noticed the same, but didn't understood - I need to have proper delay and "freeze" before I make shot. Otherwise I miss. I am Alex C, greetings from Kharkiv (Ukraine)!

James from Fareham here! Thanks for the great videos! They have helped me get a 32 highest break in match play and 80 in the line up. I only bought a snooker cue 2 years ago, and I'm a top 3 player in my local club league. I have a question about selecting the potting angle and focusing. I have a weak myopia/short-sightedness (just -0.75 right and -0.25 left) and I still struggle to pot thin cuts and half ball shots. I try to imagine a dot or an edge as appropriate as the point furthest from the pocket on the object ball, but when I move back to the cue ball, it's hard to keep focusing on, and I'm often unsure that its the correct angle. Wearing glasses feels a little unnatural, though it does make my eyesight clearer. How important do you think having completely crisp eyesight is?
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 3 месяца назад
I know a few people who have benefited from glasses. But I think you can get away with it to a certain extent. It’s a lot about what you imagine happening as well as what you can see

If I hold for too long can it become a problem eg not being able to release the cue because of too tight a grip

Stuart Bingham's final pause on the back-swing seems to last a very long time. It looks a bit bizarre to me, but obviously works for him.
@jamesmarcet7833

When I pause, I don't sideswipe the ball with a bad swing. Thanks for the tip!
@theturksReno7

Doesn't the aimtechnique of pushing the cue trought an inivisable cueball fail at larger angles? If you do that you will always undercut the objectball. You need to account for the radius of the cueball. Just a thought.

Can you do a video on how to stand still and why my arm moves on the shot
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 3 месяца назад
i’ve done a bit on this before, and it mostly helps to keep the elbow of your bridge arm clamp to the table. If you do this everything else tends to move less

Bad reasoning and bad advice. You should not be focusing on anything when you strike.. focusing is exactly how you mess up the shot. Bad advice.

The pause needs to be natural....not deliberate
