Over the last 4 week of watching your video, my pathetic max break of 12 has gone to a 32 just by watching your videos. Thank you! I’m from Carlisle in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Another good video. Ive been videoing myself recently and found my cue completely offline when cueing along the baulk line. Ive pressed my chest against cue and found I push it back online. The problem is how to adopt a similar method with the rest which I think im misaligning also.

i guess when we are enjoying it and relishing the pressure we WANT to do well. Instead as you said we switch to 'safe mode' or thinking we 'NEED' to do well...

People miss thick because they don't understand the difference between the Point of Aim and The Point of Contact. The product 'Ghost Ball Potting Aid' shows this in detail.

even though i am too aggressive and will take anything on (and i mean near impossible) and have a reasonably good success rate, just my let down is break building, when i hear a break nearing the thirties i grip the cue too tight, is there a way of ignoring the break score. Cheers. p.s liking the videos
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 5 лет назад
Yes, but it’s not easy. Once you’ve struggled with this and similar problems for about 10 years you realise that knowing how big the break is your on isn’t the problem. The problem is this often distracts you from what you need to do in order to keep potting the balls. You are then just gripping the cue to tightly as you don’t know what else to do. Really the position you are in can’t affect you, your as likely to pot those shots as the previous ones. So long as you make sure you get everything right

@@Breakfromlife yeah it looks exactly the same from the videos. Only issue I ever had with mine was wood around the feule caved in eventually on my first one. I did use it to play on the IPA so that might have affected things. However I've cut it down as a junior cue for my lad when he takes an interest. No point wasting it.

Just wondering how do you setup your camera,mic etc
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 5 лет назад
I edit everything on my iPad for some reason. Basically I know how the software works. The Sony x-3000 camera I’ve got recently let’s me Wi-fi the video to my iPad. It also gets a lot better audio than any other camera I’ve had before. If I need to speak in a bit of the video I use a cheap body microphone. It recorded to quick voice pro on my iPad. I then get all my video clips in the right order, add the audio over the top where it’s needed and recorded the rest of the audio over the top. I use a Rode microphone of some kind for that. I’m still playing around with the settings on my camera though.

You have to push right though it. It’s explained at the beginning of this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mY3l7rMKssY.html

How do I chose a cue for myself
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 5 лет назад
Ideally you want to find somewhere that you can try a few different cues. You will find that some are just easier to use than others and seem to give better results
@TheFlyingdeuces
@TheFlyingdeuces 5 лет назад
Set a budget then try and find a store with as big a selection as possible and try as many as you can. The balance of a cue is all important, finding a well balanced cue is very hard to do even with ones costing several hundred pounds.

@GoharGraphics

May I need to hit the cue ball top spin for thin short or something different?
@Breakfromlife

You can probably do that with sidespin if your hitting it to the left use right hand side

new rule: people who want to go on the map have to post their average shot time, and it has to be below 25 seconds

Maybe that should be a new rule for world snooker. Then if you’re not on the map you don’t get in
