recently i have changed my grip ,now i am using my middle and ring finger to hold and feel the cue like ronnie does. My game has improved so much .Actually this allows me to feather in straight line and also keeps my hand straight at 90 degree.

I've watched most of your videos and I think you'd be great at it. Also, have a butchers at my channel and the tables I get to play on. Your Trump/Robertson screws would be a doddle on there for you! Maybe one day we could get you on one for a match 👍🏻 Andy, Cobham in Surrey. UK

Thanks for helping me understand the grip. Im one of those who keep letting my fingertips off the cue a lot so I will experiment with this.

I have a little solution for the rotation of the grip hand. What I do is that I scroll the cue with thumb and index finger towards the index finger just below the knuckle part and press the thumb towards index finger. This way I don't need to rotate the grip towards right because now it is naturally rotated.

Sir, While in a close potting ,should grip fingers open
@williamsheppard8738

I will tell you this I have found out that if you keep your thumb off the queue and just use the inside of your thumb to make sure it doesn't fall out of your hand you should be incredibly accurate

What about where to put the flat part of the cue in your grip? I have always the flat bit facing down and settled in my fingers but most players have the flat bit facing upwards
@TheJestinator
@TheJestinator Год назад
I like to rest the flat part of the cue in my fingers like you but this depends on which cue you own. I know a few people with John Parris cues and they are manufactured so that the chevrons in the grain are directly in line with the flat part, which means they can make sure they are moving the cue straight without twisting etc. I play with an all black cue so I play like you, this means I know I am holding the cue consistently for every shot.
