34 seconds in a 200M is dog slow, ROFL…and I think that was the time of Spearman. He and Ato were obviously running slow purposely, but Snoop looked like he was doing a slow jog! Most little high school boys who have never run track and field and began a new season can run about 25 seconds or faster. Many middle school kids run faster than 34 seconds. It’s slow, but not everyone is a runner, so I’m not mad!
@@HandelandJ LOL, well, not really, but kinda, lol! 30 seconds is super slow, but a non track runner (or the average person), would probably pass out before finishing a 200M!
That's pretty much a myth, I know guys who smoke weed before and after they run, I'm one of them. About 70% of all NBA players smoke weed. Mike Tyson still does roadwork and he smokes a ton of "Gods lettuce".
@@BrianAndersonTT you would be surprised at how much cannabis me and my running group smoke. I alone smoke about an ounce every 10 days, that doesn't include smoking with the group. It's been like that for years.
Nice! Do you think you'd double your PB now or still rock with the best? Do you think you can beat a highschooler in the 200 now, if you get a 50 meter headstart?
@@LeonNeuton with some training, I believe I could be competitively fun. I was a nationally ranked athlete. I competed on a team that went to Russia as well as placing in Jr. Olympics (good times 😁). Over the years I have developed deterioration and arthritis in my joints, which has caused some mobility and flexibility issues. Makes it challenging to run. I am 49 and working on doing better. To me, what Snoop did was impressive. Your turn...
It would be hilarious to watch guys who never ran track to run a 400m race. I nearly died running my first 400 having no idea what I was getting myself into, sprinted the first 200 m, jogged the next 100, and jello-legged my bitch ass the last 100. That was such an eye opener 😂
Exactly! People don't realize that those runners are using at least 75-80% of their full speed for 400 meters. Most folks can NOT run 100 meters at 75-80% full speed.
It’s a pretty decent time, to be honest. Especially considering his age. Not many 30-year olds would be able to run a sub 35 seconds 200 meters. That’s about 21 km/h or almost 13 mph.
@@forestgump8357 no way. What’s your time? I’m a sub 3 hour marathoner, so I have no trouble with stamina and slow twitch muscles, but I lack top speed. I don’t think I would be able to do sub 30 unless I trained for several months my fast twitch muscles.
@@feezee82 In HS my best time in the 200 was 22.79, but that was just pure speed, with not enough training, I ran track for other sports, I'm pretty sure I could have broken 22 if it were my only focus . I also played tennis and won district in singles, but fell short 1 round of making it to state. It set the expectations for my younger brother who was runner up at the state tournament in tennis 2 years running. Hey my dad was played D1 basketball, and was his teams leading scorer and rebounder his Sr. year. He considered me an underachiver athletically to be honest. A 35 second 200 at age 30 would have been just above jogging for me.
@@feezee82 I could not break 3 hours in a marathon if the russian gestapo was trailing me. Shoot I couldn't complete a marathon. That takes a level of diligence I do not possess. Fast twitch top end speed was my only strength, that and excellent vertical jump.
I'm mid 30's and just hit the track for the first time in a while. I work out A LOT though and still run and i thought i was blazing when i did a 200, and it was only 30 seconds. so for him to do that in 34 is super impressive
And I feel for Sha'Carri. She should have never been suspended. To add to that, she should have been added to the 4X100m after the suspension. I really hope she wins the 100m, breaks the Olympic record, anchors the 4x100m (with her training partners) and breaks the American, Olympic, and world record in the process)!
@@Jayinhk1972she’ll place 4th in the 100 at best. World competition been destroying her this entire year. And the 4x100 Bronze at best. Just cause she beat a few Americans people still think she’s the greatest in the World blah blah blah
@@Jayinhk1972She should have been suspended. She disobeyed the rules, however stupid the rules are. Many athletes have been suspended for taking medicine that doctors prescribed. And it was probably good for her because she is in a much better place (both physically and emotionally) now.
Snoop dropped it like its hot! To be honest 34 seconds for 200m is pretty good for a 52 year old man. I am 49 and a runner and for me to run 200m in 34 seconds is actually not that easy anymore.
