He's right about *Ready To Die.* It came out in 1994. I loved the album, but honestly, Method Man's *Tical* blew him out of the water. If memory serves me right, Warren G's *Regulate... G Funk Era* also outsold *Ready To Die.* These albums were all 1994. Biggie didn't get popular until about mid 1995. Aside from _"Big Poppa"_ & _"Juicy",_ all of Biggie's songs were either remixes or featured on other artist's songs like Craig Mack, Junior Mafia, and Total. Even as a Pac fan, I always loved Biggie's music. I just love Hip Hop. BUT... East Coast niggas only started calling Biggie "the GOAT" because of the controversy he and Pac had during an East Coast/ West Coast rivalry. That's the only reason New York put him above everyone else. Before that, Nas, Biggie & Mobb Deep were all on the same level. Jay-Z was on a tier below them. But if anyone were Kings of NY, it was Wu-Tang Clan. They, not Biggie, turned heads back to the East after years of West Coast dominance.
