We just got back from a Princess Alaska cruise where my group took this tour. It was the highlight of our trip! We saw tons of wildlife you'd expect to see in the tropics (huge starfish, urchins, sea cucumbers, jellies, fish). The water is crisp and clear and the wetsuits kept us nice and warm. My husband and I are not small people - I'm 5'9" and he's 6' and neither of us have seen the inside of a gym in over a decade - but we had no trouble finding gear that fit and we weren't made to feel like the fat people who shouldn't have come on the trip. It was awesome and for those a little more adventurous it's an excursion you should give serious consideration!
@@MCVPhotography actually those True Stars spend about 6 hours high and dry every tide change. Our tides change 20 feet in 6 hours and they spend about half of their life above the water. Get your facts straight!
The guides know which creatures can be safely handled and more importantly returned the proper depth and habitat. We've been doing this for 25 years and have not had any detrimental affect on our marine life. Pacific Northwest is much different than the tropics.
