vlog # 39 - Exploring the Gili Islands on our Honeymoon
Sharing the third and final vlog from our honeymoon.
The Gili Islands are a dream! If you love tropical temperatures, sea life, swimming in warm water, snorkeling, and delicious food, these islands are for you!
We stayed in Gili Air for 4 days and snorkeled all around Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, and Gili Air. We saw so many sea turtles and the most incredible tropical fish.
Staying on the Gili Islands was a unique experience into a slower and simpler pace of life. There are no cars on the island and you can walk or bike from end to end in less than half an hour. The food was amazing on Gili Air and some of my favorite meals of our honeymoon were on the island.
We really took advantage of the rest and relaxation by getting massages at Slow Spa. If you can make a trip out of it from Bali, it's worth it!
We took the Bluewater Express fast boat from Gili Air back to the Serangan Port in Bali, which is about a 3 hour boat ride, then we drove to Nusa Dua where we stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali for the last two days of our honeymoon.
Nusa Dua was the perfect place to stay to recharge for the flight back to California. We had a short layover in Singapore, landed in LAX, and then rented a car and drove to San Diego. We miss Indonesia so much and hope to come back!
