Lobster freediving in Scotland. A rare break in the weather, and I got snorkelling off St Andrews. Apnea diving for seafood is my favourite pastime. DJI mavic mini drone used to capture the aerial shots.
Gr8 to see you still diving Scottish waters in November & still creating NEW footage for us land-locked 'lockdowners' to savour. Even rockpools look enticing in winter from an armchair! Keep filming, it's always fun beneath the surface. 👌
Thanks for your support and appreciation. I’ll do my best to make more videos. We caught a lucky break in the weather last week - it’s back to horrible now. Cheers.
Hey brotha! I’m studying in Edinburgh for the fall and am missing the best time for lobsters in California :( wondering if you’d be willing to help me get a few bugs 🤙 mahalo
Getting kinda hard this time of year. The sea is now quite rough. The surfers are getting excited. My dive kit is in a van on route to Spain where I’ll hopefully find it in a few weeks. If the weather is poor, the east coast is impossible but the west coast can be dived year-round. Hard to find the lobs tho as there’s 1000’s miles of deep coastal water for them to hide
I usually stay about 100m from the shore and follow the coastline for 1km or maybe more. Lots of searching about so distance is greater. Then the same on the return. Lobsters are usually 2m to 6m deep, depending on the tides.
