@@Berryhoekstra dat is ook mijn mening. Afrikaans lijkt creatiever om te gaan met zaken waar wij veel (buitenlandse) leenwoorden voor gebruiken. Daarbij komt het ook dat Afrikaans ook nog wat woorden heeft wat uit verschillende Nederlandse dialecten heeft, van Vlaanderen tot Groningen en dat geeft het ook een tintje. Ze gebruiken asem ipv van adem (asem is trouwens nog steeds correct Nederlands) en in Vlaanderen is het geloof ik nog steeds veel gebruikt. Daarentegen zeggen ze 'Stewels' ipv 'Laarsen' (In Groningen zijn dat Stevels). als er ergens iets klikbaar is op een internetpagina noemen we het hier een 'link' terwijl het daar gewoon een 'skakel' is en eigenlijk is het ook gewoon een 'schakel'. Dus samengevat ik vind het mooi :)
@@Berryhoekstra mijn vader vertelde mij heel lang geleden dat er destijds familie van hem (2 nichten) vertrokken zijn naar Zuid Afrika om daar een bedrijf op te zetten. En uit nieuwsgierigheid ga je dan zoeken en de taal is dan het eerste wat je tegenkomt :)
Just learnt something, they sing in a south african language called Afrikaans,relates to dutch,somewhat like german too. Hope you enjoy our artists ,they are very underrated. Some has 2 jobs,not like in Hollywood. Please share with the people if your country
@@pierre68299 Afrikaans is a sister language of 'modern' Dutch, we share a lot of the same roots. The words that looks German is because Dutch shares some words with German too. Low German (Lower Saxon as example) sounds a lot like a hybrid language between German and Dutch (The east part of The Netherlands also speaks a dialect that sounds a lot like that). The main difference between Afrikaans and Dutch is the grammar, modern Dutch is more complicated and Afrikaans is more creative :) There are quite a bunch of Dutchies who loves Afrikaans, and I'm one of them.
