Dear Matthew Posa and Monty- My husband, Joe Witten (this RU-vid acct) passed away last week, and I (his wife Ann) just wanted to let you guys know how much he loved your channel and watching (especially) Monty and Ruger frolic in the snow. My partner and I have watched this video a handful of times over the past week. We have a 4-month old puppy in the house and lately these videos are the only thing that will get her to settle down for any length of time. She lays down and stares at the TV until she falls asleep, and if she isn't looking at the TV her little ears are twisting and turning everytime Posa talks!

I bet you have beautiful memories of your brother. I lost my 2 brothers too. They were great wild life fans so like you I have happy memory hours of them while watching these bushcraft videos. The best moment in all the videos; You pass out and Rueger brings a stick for you to throw and lays it carefully across your knees... (I'm working my way from the beginning so I might have missed some other good moments, but this is a favorite.) Great winter (spring) trip.

The love and the respect of all of nature which I was taught by example I owe that to my parents. We had a cottage up in Northern Michigan which looks and sounds so much like where Monty likes to enjoy the outdoors. That's one of my favorite things about your videos Matthew...you truly capture the peace and serenity of nature through the sights and sounds, and also by your experiments with unique and fun camera angles....Still waiting for you to share the starry skies with us, but you told me you need a different camera lens. I believe that someday you'll be able to show us the nightsky you see. Looking forward to it. My husband, children and I shared the importance of wilderness preservation and we love camping together in Canada and Michigan. My Dad just passed away last month, and my mom passed in 2009. In their retirement together they bought a farm up north and raised cattle for another thirty years. I went to my parents farm this weekend to take care of the place, and I was amazed by the amount of wildlife that surrounded me. The snow and the fog obscured the stars this weekend, but the land is beautiful. I know that I am grieving for my Dad, and I just wanted to let you know Matthew that your channel is very therapeutic for so many people ♥ Thank you for sharing your world with all of us.

We are all reeling from the “Pandemic”! The pandemic has touched everyone. What helps: “hello ladies and gentlemen “; “oh, by the way we got a late start “.rats nest”; close up with cutting a white onion! Those elements “ground people” in a stressful world! Thank you! I fell asleep, needing rest watching, listening to the video. When I watched it for “real” there were one or two things I remember hearing while resting. You provide “comfort” for a tired world! Don't count on the "giveaway" in this video! You haven't watched it all yet! I generally like to fast forward these videos until the Camp is up! Watching someone chop wood for 30 minutes bores me! Alright Matthew…inquiring minds want to know. How the heck did you get that camera view from the top of the tree looking down. If that was a drone that was impressively still. PS.....The struggle was real this time with cooking. Geesh...it was one thing after another. Glad you were not seriously hurt in the making of this video. ;)
