El Dorado County officials said Tuesday that out of the around 150 buildings that were inspected for snow damage due to the recent storms, approximately 15 buildings were red-tagged, meaning they are a total loss. The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department told KCRA 3 one of those red-tagged structures was a gas station near Emerald Bay Road and 5th Street. South Lake Tahoe Fire Marshal Kim George said the roof of the gas station toppled over Thursday night because of the weight of the snow.
