My first real big editing project. It’s taken me a couple days. There are a few snafu’s but with about 90 or so clips......I’m not perfect ! Old score king 50s and the new rake arm installation, there might be a few clips shot before I got the rake completely adjusted where it is now. I tried to include most everything in this video that I could. Enjoy !

Thank you ! One of the original Otis green machines. S/n 3690 it started life in Roselle lanes 1956 in New Jersey evidently.

They're out there. Unfortunately. Brunswick pinsetters should never be scrapped or left to rot.

I like the vintage Brunswick bowling pins even though the coating is worn away in spots.

They aren’t in the best of shape so I don’t leave them in too much. It’s fun from time to time though

Is the rake a little low on the left side and rubbing the gutter?

It was in the older clips I used. It should be perfectly adjusted now

If you see the sawed off clips just above the attach point of the rake it’s the old rake arm. I just replaced it to a new/used unwelded arm that’s straight but used some clips from before.

I used to have hundreds but I gave most to a friend as I had no room for them and didn’t want them cooking in the attic any longer. I kept some and have started adding to the collections as I build shelf space.

how hard is it to get a pin to bounce out of the pit on this machine and how does the pit curtain affect it?

The curtain pretty much kills the bounce ftom behind. Brunswick’s always seem to give you the possibility but so far on mine I’ve never had a pin bounce back out. It’s an odd curtain on this one. It’s pretty stiff so that may be why. If I run across a regular Brunswick curtain I might switch it out

I just had a question? Why does it look like the bowling ball hits the pins so softly? Like usually when I got bowling I throw a 15lb ball and the pins go flying?

Busted. I had to reshoot a few shots and done weren’t from a normal trajectory. It’s hard shooting the videos mostly solo

Why do you not use bowling shoes here? is it because of convenience?

It is. I don’t really slide anyways in my normal approach I do have a pair of house shoes I guess I should be slipping on

I got some lane oil from my local bowling center and i spritz the heads as I’m using old rubber bowling balls and they leave lots of marks if I don’t.

We use Scoremore. It was made by Think Clever and Smart (another RU-vidr) and we really like it! Check out some of our other videos to see it in use.

Unfortunately lots of centers are closing and most bulldoze the place with the lanes and machines still in place.

What holds the pins in their spots so they can be acutely by placed on the deck? I always noticed on these machines the pins sometimes wobble and it can be different on different machines some more or less movements. This is so cool to have in the garage. This is what life’s about. Thanks for not being a normal boring person.

How much do these machines cost?

Machine ? Very cheap. $150 I think. It was the removal that got me. Then a lot of the other pieces and parts to complete it all. I got 3 of 4 pinsetters and was able to sell 2 to some other nuts like me who want to do their own home setup. I haven’t heard from one but the other and I keep in touch still.

20ft lane and 7ft approach. It was all we could squeeze into the Garage.

@@1761Charlie Robert is a regular league bowler (you can see those videos on our page) and he said the Garage really doesn't mess him up. He says it helps him aim the ball better. ~Aaron
