I disagree. TLOU2 and RDR2 might have prettier looking effects, but Death Stranding was the only game on this entire list where they actually changed the walking animation. Deep snow is not easy to walk in and every single game other than Death Stranding failed to demonstrate the effort and difficulty.

I’ve not played it yet but I was super impressed with the snow in Zero Dawn’s DLC.

True What really got me in this game is that when u walk on the already deformed and squished snow, your character doesn't struggle and moves normally

Joel dying saving Ellie in a blaze of glory late in the campaign would have been a pointless, trash story and doesn't fit TLOU. It's supposed to be a tragedy about a character losing the most important person in the world to them, it hallowing them out, and the journey back to some semblance of their old self, perhaps too late. That's the character arch. Sarah and Joel's deaths were tough to stomach but they were needed. Losing Joel just as Ellie was trying to forgive him is way more interesting than her running away when she finds out, getting into trouble and then Joel dying saving her. lol. If you keep Joel alive in TLOU2 much longer just to appease people, then you delay the main themes, water the story down and don't have enough character development for a full game.

@@idakev tlou1 story was "good" until joel saved ellie. Btw I said "good" cuz of the massive plot armor that joel has, like that iron thing that did go through his intestine and he just survived like it was nothing. After joel was not the main character anymore in tlou2 everything became worse than it already was. Joel saved ellie and her at the end never avenged him, the second most disappoint sht in all videogame history, the first was cyberpunk at the release

Gameplay, sound design, level design, artistic direction, acting, graphics, animations, ost and accessibility are all top tier. I think story is good too but it's just my opinion.

Terrible story

Because rockstar is literally another tier, only naughty dog comes close to them. Remember that the last of us is a lot detailed but its only a story that you play, i mean it only has le levels while rdr2 is a big open world full of missions and secondary and its still the most detailed game ever. I tell you its other tier because they made an extremely huge open world that feels really alive better detailed than all level only or open world games with an insane graphic for a ps4. So extremely well optimised and very advanced for its time

The most impressive thing here is that RDR 2 was created for the PS4 hardware, the 2013 console (and its more advanced versions)@@x_rabbox_

TLOU2 is the only one that comes close.

Horizon Forbidden West looks much better.

​@@raven4515The reason people put RD2 over HFW is because they both have incredible graphics and effects,but read dead as a lot more going on in the meantime, making it more "unique" in a way. I still consider Horizon s world the best yet

starfield is way to big for all those fancy animations because amount of planets and npc interactions you got on starfield.
