We had a work truck that had them locked I'm 4 wheel drive towing and it never had a problem with fuel milage or wear on parts

Yes you can leave your hubs locked in and be in two wheel drive. It won't hurt it.

Your auto hubs dont work? Or you have floor shift in a king ranch?? If its knob shift 4x4 it should auto lock unless the vacuum line was taken out for the lift
