Awesome video. I'm from Lesotho where it snows regularly in the highlands. However in the loosely termed "lowlands" region in the western part of the country where I live it doesn't snow every winter though it does still get bitterly cold. This region gets major snowfall around on average once every 10 to 15 years. I was fortunate enough to have had that once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this rare lowland snowfall when it snowed in the whole of Lesotho on the 4 june this year (2024). It was such a wonderful and surreal experience. I lived in the UK during during the late 90s and experienced snow regularly while I was there, but I had never experienced snow on African soil and that's something I always wanted to experience. I can at least now tick that box of having experienced snow on African soil in my home country of Lesotho.

Thank you for the information. I can hardly talk about other countries of Africa. However, regarding Ethiopia, here are some tips. Even though Ethiopia is located near the equator, more than 70% of its land is mountainous. Hence, it is referred as "The Roof of Africa" endowed with temperate climate. Moreover, it is a land of contrast where you can explore mountains up to more than 4,500 meters and lowlands (depressions) below sea level with the hotest temperature. All these geological formation make Ethiopia one of the 12 countries of the world with great biodiversity.
