You want snow to stay in the tread for snow on snow traction and easier stopping ability. This coming from a Minnesota native. I dont know where people get this idea you want the snow to eject out. Thats false.

Duratracs don’t clean entirely because having a little bit is snow in the tread believe it or not gives you that much better traction. I know it sounds crazy but snow on snow contact is great for traction

Also tall and narrow tires are better than low and wide.

I just ordered a set of these, we'll see how they handle northern Maine winter's. Can't be as bad as the cooper at3 I have on my Silverado right now. I can't even move in 2wd in any amount of snow.

Hope they work out for ya, I know when I was stationed up north the snow was brutal. Here in Texas the tires did great even with the bad road prep and ice for out little week long winter storm. The Tahoe also helps with the traction because it has some weight in the back as well.

@@Alpha-Works-Tx we'll see soon enough, I know the bfg ko2 work pretty good up here and these venoms are a very similar tread pattern. They'll be better than these coopers regardless so....
