Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park (Nagano,JAPAN) Feb. 2017 The only place in the world where monkeys bathe in hot springs. 地獄谷野猿公苑(長野) 2017年2月撮影 --- 温泉に入る野生の猿
They are beautiful. So very nice to see them in their natural habitat. Much better than the pitiful babies taken from their moms and family. Forced to wear diapers and clothes. Continuously giving them a bottle of milk. Thank you for the video.
I know this is an older video but I love how he captured the zoo, the tourists , monkeys, scenery. I felt a part of the park and it was so nice just to see people standing or filming the monkeys. No food, no touching, be respectful of others and monkeys likewise. Wonderful video 🙂🙂👏🏻👏🏻🐒🐒
This awesome.. i've Been There also in early 2020 befor corona spread and make Vlog also.. the snow not like this because of global warming. but still awesome view.. wanna back again someday. Great content👍. JAPAN very beautiful country.
Poor animals very hungry all of them is hard to get foods with this thick snow around the lake thank you for sharing Bless you all have a good day thank you
It amazes me how they are able to survive in such a harsh environment. What comes to mind is, what in the heck do they do when they get out of the hot water? Wouldnt they freeze to death being soaked with water and in a frozen environment? It's not like they go to a locker room and dry off with towels or anything. They must be very uncomfortable when they get out. They probably stay int he pools as long as they can until they get hungry or night time in which case they must be constantly try to get dry and brush off the frozen water from their bodies.
They can get into a natural hot spring whenever they want ( to keep themselves warm ), even at night cause it is not a zoo. This is their territory, so to speak, they have a favorable territory with their own hot spring. In this place, monkeys are more advantageous position than us, and human beings are just begging them "Can we pass through your territory and take some pics?" If they feel a little bit hot while staying in the bath too long, they can get out of the spring any time. Sometimes, they scramble for mandarin oranges flowing on the hot spring, and eat in the bath. They can do anything they want:)
I'm sure it's wonderful to soak in that hot water, but how do they keep from freezing once they get out and are wet? Perhaps like many animals they have oily coats to keep water from penetrating to the skin.
I heard their hair is a big reason. By shaking it, they can dry off like dogs do. In addition, they sweat little, so heat is stored long inside the body.
They seem to get along a lot better here than those in the "monkey huddle" video. Because it's 20 below zero celsius there they huddle together to share warmth, since there's no hot springs there. JUst like Emperor penguins do. If they didn't co-operate they (the penguins) would all die , so they put their personal differences and hatred of close contact aside for he duration. Those idiotic monkeys in the huddle don't seem to be able to, however, even if it's a matter of life and death. They were all biting each other and fighting and squawking, and fighting continuously. I couldn't imagine how a species that ignorant ever survived in this cold. But here, they don't have to share their personal space, or cooperate in any way, so they seem to get along just fine.. sort of.
Hey guys! Hope you’re well? We loved your video and we'd love to share it on our social pages to our audience of 6.1 million people, with giving you credit of course. Just reply with "Yes!" to give us permission. We look forward to hearing back from you! Cheers - Ben
They all indulge in the hot springs, though higher ranked animal's probably get their choice of spot. On occasion, I've seen them waiting for one to get out, in order to fit, but they all get their turns.
