I usually wait till the snow is too deep, though, if I got on it sooner it would be easier.

I bought this from a local hardware store in Volney, NY. It is made by a company called MinnSnowta( Google them ). It cost me $159 but was worth three times that much. Does a great job on our lake effect snow. It comes assembled, you just have to snap the poles in place.

I've used one similar but I didn't use it like that I raked it off I didn't smash it upwards

How did you attach the plastic? What plastic sheet did you use? Please describe tool.
