@@awesomedonut8228 Shouldn't that depend? Based on if they're clones stormtroopers or non clones. So the training should be between 10 and 2 years depending. But mostly around 2 years of training.
Because most planets seem to have only one geographical feature, like Mustafar = Volcanoes and lava streams, Kamino = oceans, Jakku = desert, Coruscant = city. Seasons could barely make a difference on this planets, if they even occurred.
@@kronnie13 Well, not really, in the og battlefronts they were just regular snowtroopers. Still better than no snow gear, but unfortunately this design wasn't used there either.
How come bad videos get so many views but great videos like this get little to no views at all? Quite sad, honestly. Edit: As of this edit, this video has 2 million views. When I made this the view count was Around 200k and the comment section was like the Sahara Desert. But other than that, I’m not arguing with people anymore.
I felt that "damnnit" Born and raised in the freezing north. Can confirm it takes more than a four hour powerpoint to not die in the winter if you end up in a bad way. You better hope you've got a reliable friend on speedial within 10 min travel.
Same with hot weather honestly ALWAYS carry water even if it’s not that hot, even if you’re just going for a 15 minute hike, so many tourists make that mistake and are found dead.
@@elainadeeter9788 he had at least 505 KIA during the war between finland and the soviet union during 1939-1940, he was a very good sniper dressed in all white laying in the snow. he was called the “white death” as a nickname and was the deadliest sniper in the world
@@elainadeeter9788 To add on, he got every single one of those kills without using a scope only iron sights. He would even put snow into his mouth so as to make his breath the same temperature as the surrounding air So when he exhaled you wouldn't see his breath. This kept him from giving away his position. Killed multiple Russian snipers until he was finally shot in the cheek with an explosive round but survived.
Wait, you're telling me that they have specialized garrisons for each weather type in the Star Wars canon? They don't just have the troopers switch gear for different biome types??? That _is_ a waste of imperial resources.
Wait you need training most times if we are on a snow planet we just get a new set of armor with better heating And yes the galactic marines had fought in sown planets but they also fought on lava planets
Unironically there are specialized training courses for winter combat and specialized units for snowy areas. Same with mountains, deserts, jungles, and so on in the Irl military. They just tend to be assigned to areas as specialists alongside regular units that get a short version of the normal training.
I love how when she asked about the avalanche it snowed more while the left one looked to their right making it seem like an avalanche might be coming.
Speaking as someone whose time in green was north of the Arctic Circle… yeah, cold weather training is a real thing. A couple of degrees below freezing, sure, change the onesie. Thirty below and that training becomes a lifesaver. :-)
Actual avalanche survival tip here: When you see the avalanche coming and can't get out of the way, swim. Seriously, start swimming through the snow in as upward a direction as you can to stay on top of the tide. If you end up getting buried, *cover your face.* This will help you continue breathing until you can get out. The snow, having been freshly disturbed via avalanche, will be mostly sorta fluffy, letting air travel through it so you can breathe. The heat of your breath will melt the snow if you don't cover your face, and it will refreeze into an airtight seal suffocating you. It also helps to hold your breath until you stop moving, giving your chest some extra space to expand do you don't suffocate via thoracic crushing.
