Good instructional vid. Glad you demoed a Subaru. I have a Subaru Outback wilderness edition with OME size Cooper ATs. Run the vehicle on beach sand during summer and Vermont snows in winter. Have not gotten stuck yet(even in the deeps)but we all know its inevitable. Purchased traction boards and need to ensure I use properly.
Best traction board vid I've seen. Most of the other vids I saw where they failed, did not utilize proper technique like you showed here. Thanks for putting this together 🙌
Subbie owner loving your dedication and time to show us this. Debating if Snow Tires like Peerless is better than this Traction Board. I can see Snow Tires will be even LESS use since IF you're stuck already vs Traction Boards that don't need installing prior to getting stuck. Appreciate the Amazon link also. Have a Great Day
A great technique! This deserves so many more views. Most other videos show people powering through and spinning tires and complaining their boards crack and lugs break off.
Yeah, doing a burnout on them will burn the lugs off in a few seconds, of course the metal toothed ones will hold up better but you'll burn grooves in your tires. Honestly airing down along with using these is where it's at.
Great video, describes basics, for any recovery boards. Could we expect an air down vs air up and 2 vs 4 recovery boards, xbull vs maxxtrack, in the near future?

I have the newest version of them I believe. I have used them quite a bit and never had an issue with them cracking. Sorry for not responding sooner, apparently I don't get notifications for comments on my videos.
