Honestly I feel like all white people should be forced to watch snowfall. The best visual example of just how much the Reagan and cia destroyed the black community
Damn near EVERYBODY green when they first jump off the porch baby girl lol 🤷🏾♂️😂 NOBODY steps into the game a seasoned hustla unless you grew up actually in the game like your Dad was Big Meech or your Mom was Griselda Blanco or some shit lmmfao 🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂 The game is trial and error and EVERYBODY is gonna make mistakes you hip, but the best and smartest hustlas learn from those mistakes FAST or learn from the mistakes they partnas make FAST and make the proper adjustments so the bullshit doesn’t happen again or stays at a minimum feel me.. Snowfall wouldn’t have been believable to real streets nixxas if Franklin would’ve been seasoned and a top notch hustla from the jump in season 1… He had to, as we say in Detroit, Go Through It To Get To It… And now 5 seasons later he wayyyyyy more seasoned but at the same time he STILL making mistakes… smh 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏾♂️ And THATS how real life is and that’s why Snowfall is one of the best shows of all time… 😂💪🏾🔥 Peace and blessings Sista..😉🤝💪🏾💯💯💯
@@georgearmstrong1549 I felt like Franklin got dummer season 4 bc when John singleton was around Franklin was making mistakes but when he died and season 4 came out he started making dummer decisions
Now, here we are. Full circle. Franklin turned to the bottle and became the person he didn’t want to turn out like in Alton. And has the mindset that he’s free of chains and is free from it all. His own man just like Alton mentioned for his own situation as a hobo.
Excellent work 👍 Another thing I noticed (maybe I'm overreaching) is Franklin's clothes especially his shirts/tops; When we first meet him he's wearing an Orange like shirt meaning he's a warm/joyful guy when he wears Blue he's calm, caring and reasonable (meetings with Jerome, Ray Ray, attending to Leon's gunshot wound) when he wears Red he's hot headed (meeting with his dad, the fight with Leon) and by the last episode (with ice cream truck guy) he's wearing White meaning he's like elevated to "god" level.
Bruh thank you for this🙏🏾I've been trying to find a page that doesn't just review the seasons/episodes but actually stops to breakdown the themes and peel back the layers of each character and just what exactly makes them tick. Can't wait to see what other Snowfall content you drop, keep up the good work!
I recently rewatched this season a few days after watching Boyz N The Hood and I noticed something that couldn't have been a coincidence. During the opening scene of the pilot episode, I noticed "Trey's" car parked on the street while the kids are running...superb easter egg John. R.I.P
I think one things that’s overlooked a lot is the blue ragtop bug in the opening scene. I’d like to think it’s singletons way of paying tribute to boyz in the hood. In a way, Franklin, Leon, and Kevin are like the trio of Trey, Doughboy, and Rocky.
I really appreciated how you broke down the straps on Franklin's right and left shoulders, regarding his backpack. I also noticed that by having a greenback, it probably serves as a symbol of the color of money. Furthermore, it's a prelude to all of the stress and strife that comes with all of the blood money in further seasons to come.
Great Analysis!!! AND 19:58 - The Rubicon also means a line that once crossed, that can never be traversed again.......once you go this far.....there's no coming back..... A point of no return.....Which is also exemplified in the episode.
The Rubicon is what Julius Caesar crossed when he became emperor. It also pitted him against the Roman Senate and led to his death. It is probably foreshadowing for what is in store for Franklin. He becomes the guy, but ultimately dies because of his quest for power.
I think how the intro changes every Episode is great especially in the 3 season where you can see the hood peacefull and after 3 or 4 episodes you see 1 police car and the final episode of season 3 the hood is on fire in the night with all the polices that is genius
Yooo I’m so glad I found this channel. I always noticed how much attention to detail they put into this show, but with this I realized how much shit flew over my head. Luv the content 🦾🦾
The Scene Where Franklin Goes To See Leon After Getting Shot In The Projects Is A Very Key Moment To The Show As Well Bc Leon Didn’t Get Shot Until After He Had His FallOut With Franklin Very Similarly To The Situation In Season 4 With Skully, Except Skully Missed As Lenny Didn’t, Shows How Leon Can Make Decisions Off Anger, Emotion, & The Main Thing That Scene Highlights Is How They Both See Things The Other One Doesn’t Franklin Believed RayRay & Lenny Were Together When Leon Was Shot & Leon Even Tells Him, “How You Gone Tell Me I Was There?” Franklin’s Problem Is Sometimes He Can Be Thinking So Far Ahead Visualizing Things In Beyond Him That He Loses Sight Of What’s In Front Of Him All While Leon Sees Mostly Everything In Front Of Him But Doesn’t See What’s Beyond Him As He’s Only Been Outside LA Twice In His Life The Desert For Karvel & Oakland With Franklin, As Long As He’s Been In LA We Also Saw The First Time He’s Been To The Beach Before With Kevin & Saint After Watching Scarface. Even Said Himself The Movie Scarface Has Too Many Places In It
@@JamaalNoland It’s Funny To Me, A Lot Of People Called Leon Dumb, Too HotHeaded, But When Louie Advises Them To Go Against ManBoy In The Ambush Everybody Completely Forgets That It Was Leon Who Warned Franklin ManBoy Was Coming For The Plug Back In Season 3 More Than Once But Yet Franklin Ignored It & Didn’t Realize It Till The Very Last Second
Season one is linked to season 5 and it's the 1st time season 1 is relevant..!!! Remember Kevin didn't make it the season 2 and his brother is now here in season 5 Kevin was gonna get killed anyway because because he smoked the rock. So he was going to be a basehead
Very impressive. I mean this was brilliantly done my brotha. The ability to understand the true meaning of all things on the surface and behind it is a rare gift. Some ppl can watch every season 3 times over and not get everything you pointed out. Much appreciated. Now I’m about to start on S1 E1 all over again right now. #Salute
@@JamaalNoland Man you’re welcome for sure. This actually made me think about how valuable it is to look deeper into all things. Business-wise, health, personal, financial etc… there’s always more to uncover and understand that can benefit us if we know how to look for it. So I got more out of your analysis than I was even looking for.
Awesome show and great breakdown. Will have to rewatch it soon. Cant understand what happened for the show and the actress that plays Lucia to not continue to have her on anymore. She was so good in the early seasons
When the show first came out I never got passed the first couple of episodes, I recently just finished binging all seasons to catch up, and WoW what a GREAT Show 👌. Not gonna lie, the rape episode almost made me stop watching, didn't need that in the show, but the show does get better
I'm going to look into this because where I get my downloads from it has two pilots if indeed this exist for me to watch I am 1000% doing a video on it
I feel like now the show is mainly focused on Franklin. I have no issues with that, but I like shows that link a bunch of random people together. I still want to see oso's family and personal life.
Some plot holes in this video… I wanted to understand more on teddy’s interests in the game, the club owner’s relationship with Jerome’s girl and Alejandro’s mysterious behavior
@@JamaalNoland- It's not trying to. Talking about two shows with completely different Dynamics and completely different narratives. SNOWFALL is a period drama about how the United States government funded and funneled cocaine through blacks, the mexican drug cartel and around Police into the inner cities of America to finance International shadow business and support the Contra War. THE WIRE is an examination of the systematic manipulation and destruction of all corners of the American dream involving family, education, politics, finance and real estate. This procedural drama centers around the two forces on the hamster wheel of modern day society: Police saddled with the task of enforcing America's drug war and the professional Criminals on the other side of the law.
Trojan Mother!! The reason no one in the "Family" was hurt is because Ceecee is in with Leon to stop the drug game! This is why she paid a special visit to Leon's house. Three there were three drive by, no one in the family was 🎯 hit ! Tells you something???
I definitely think Leon is involved. When he was running down the street chasing the car with the shooters, as bullets were flying, I questioned his rationale. But now I realize he probably did it knowing he was safe
He could pay ppl to do stuff but a ‘leader’ 🤔 he couldn’t make Leon turn the radio down and he couldn’t make the boy give the money back and he couldn’t make Louie them invest and…
@@buckfidencoincidencetheori7200 yeah look it up, she had to leave because she became pregnant with Nipsey Son and Jill Scott was cast as Sissy Saint too as well
That was like a hypothetical episode or like a multiverse type deal. Where what if Franklin went to college? And what changes would have occurred at home. It was him dreaming while recovering from being shot
@@JamaalNoland Apparently when your so sick, you actually dream heavily. Learned that in a book called Monster Codie and Tupac spoke of the same experience. It’s part of the PTSD and anxiety.
@@JamaalNoland That’s the ugly part most don’t talk about. Our brain is amazing, in the dream world we are truly there, sometimes people can see on the outside when we are that active.
