This is very satisfying to watch. I've never seen snow in my life so I think I would just get a chair, comfy clothes and a blanket and sit on the balcony watching the snow and reading a book.
I hope you get to see it one day, it is magical. You might be surprised at how cold and wet it can be. You’re more likely to be cuddled up in a comfy chair next to a window so you can watch the snow and stay warm.
Snow is great on a day you don't have to go anywhere. Personally, I use it as an excuse to be lazy. Drink some beers, watch a movie, play C.O.D. Of course, same thing with rain. Or a hot day. Or if it's overcast...
Omg someone posted a snow lapse video in Facebook!!!!!! I love it! I love watching these. I’m a native of Ohio and now live in California where there is no snow season. I can appreciate people that value the simple things like these. I really miss the snow🥰
I just LOVE Winter. Snow is so pretty. I especially love to see the sun shine on untouched snow. The creations that children make while playing in the snow are very interesting. One of the most enjoyable things about winter is to have a cup of hot chocolate or cocoa and feel that warm feeling as you watch the snow fall.
It’s only lovely when you get to stay inside & watch. Battled 695 & 95 for work. I chucked the corporate world & moved south. Am never shoveling again. This was very nice to watch, thanks for posting.
As a Californian I hope to one day watch this in person in real time ! Ive been watching to travel to watch snow actually fall... Lol usually snow only lasts a day in our mountains...by the time i get up to the mountains its melted off and so warm you only need a sweater...
As a new englander, I will one day see this in real time. I hope to escape this frozen tundra of broken dreams we call home and go to California during the winter months. It only snows for a day or 2 around here and everyone you meet is pretty angry after a big one ….by the time I’ve cleared my driveway the nice city plow driver has thrown all the snow from the road back in my driveway at which point I must do it all over again and have a few choice words for the plow driver. It gets so cold on some nights you can’t feel your finger tips and need about 2-3 layers just to keep old man death at bay……lmao no snows great and I really do hope you get to experience it. One of the main reason why we love this part of the country so much lol hope you get to travel. Happy trails!!
And just in time for Christmas, too! How beautiful it looks! I may want to take back my words since I live in Ohio and after the first snow comes, it can leave as far as I'm concerned, lol. But when it comes so close to Christmas Day, I love it. Thanks for setting up your camera for this long.
we got snow in texas in february and it was a ton!! it’s never snowed that much 😂 seriously! i was honestly just frozen. my feet and hands were numb. of course we’re not used to snow because it’s TEXAS but it was so cool!!
Believe me, even people who get snow regularly are being caught off guard how cold it is. Every year I run outside to grab a fistful and drop it immediately because I keep forgetting that it bites your hand 😂
I used to live in heavy snow country....now I'm in Arizona. I kinda miss the winter. I used to get all psyched when they would predict a storm or blizzard. I would get my vehicles fueled up, make sure the snowblower was ready to go, have plenty of dry wood for my wood stove if the power went out...then wait for it. I'd go out & blow snow when it was still snowing hard....go inside & drink coffee....then go back out for a while. I would go out again when the storm was over...& do it all over again. It was a challenge to take on Mother Nature.
We made this video for my parents who now reside in AZ so they could relive the snow they are currently escaping from. I'll admit snow is fun, but the cold and dark days that go with it are just a little too much sometimes!

I LOVE IT & so do my parents. we moved from eastern Washington where it is cloudy every day ALL day the WHOLE autumn/winter season. we got great blessings relating to weather down here!
Spent a couple years in Galena during the mid 70's. A different time, place, and world. I really, really miss it. Wanted to return and move back to AK. But my wife can't handle the cold. Hey, hopefully next time around I'll land there? Enjoy 🙂
@@frankjones4357 Galena! Wow I lived for a while in Ruby when I was a kid in the late 70’s. We were practically neighbors! Galena is small, but Ruby is even smaller! I adore the cold and love the peace and the solitude of Alaska but not a lot of people can handle it. The fishing is AWESOME though!!!

Yeah I'm thinking my clock was off. It's dark here at 4:30pm in the deepest of winter. Off to work in the dark, drive home from work in the dark. Never see the sun for a couple months.
I imagine the people all snuggled up in their homes with the kerchiefs and caps on their heads in front of the open fire toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate and their children in bed and have sugar plum fairies dancing in their heads Magical Christmas Eve 🎄
I wish it would snow like this in the UK; it doesn't really snow in the South East where I live anymore. Something like this happens only once every few years now, and a big snowstorm has only really happened once in this century up north and in Scotland. With climate change starting to seriously warm our climate and transforming southern Britain into a subtropical zone, its doubtful that it'll snow at all here more than a couple times a decade, and big storms will be restricted to Scotland and the pennines. Eventually even these places might become snow free, but hopefully not in my lifetime. I hope our cousins across the pond enjoy the heavy snow they get while they still can.
Unfortunately this happens monthly or more from November through March here. As with anything else, it's fun and magical for awhile, then you just want it to go away. And just like that, by July it will be 101f and we'll be wishing for the snow again. :)
The camera used is a Wyze security camera. It looks for anything that moves and records it. I set it up on continuous record and timelapse for this video.
Hello - We used a gen1 Wyze cam. Not the weatherproof one, but the indoor one. Set it up on a small table and used the timelapse feature. Not a bad video for a $25 camera!
@@Tintoycar Yes, you can add an SD card to the back of the camera. I think I am only using a 32gb card with this camera so it captures only a couple days of continuous recording. If I recall correctly I used a timer feature to take this which is why it cuts off abruptly at the end. I think it went 8 or 10 hours then stopped.
Not sure why I watch this. I have grown to hate snow, living in Alaska for 24 years. But still pretty I suppose. For me though, dangerous, more work, 9 months straight gets mighty old year after year.
