At the stony ramp on the last bit of the video, you can go over the stones to the right of the actual path. I mean it's probably not good enough to get up in one go if you're pulling two trailers, but it would have helped a lot to get the Zikz up at least. It's also snowy rocks, but there are large trees behind them which you can use to winch you up. A sidenode to something you said at the beginning about clearing all the roadblocks taking 4-8 hours: I didn't track time exactly, but I managed to clear all but the north-east roadblocks including the main bridge in around 2-3 hours. Bringing in most materials from Cosmodrome and picking up metal beams from the rocket parts along the way (no other magic here: just the Zikz with a 2-slot-trailer). Watching you do it your way, I get the feeling that clearing the roadblocks first leads to the more enjoyable experience in the end.
But.....i dun wanna skip around! I might miss out on a hilarious story or sumthin! Lol What can I say. You make me laugh. Its greatly appreciated. Some days i really need a good laugh. So funny thing about that rail bridge...no just cars on the way... I came at it from the other side with my Bruce and a 2 slot side board trailer.... Thats where i learned how to glitch the small us crane. Lifted it up and over that rail car flinging it on the right side of the cars from the left side. Had to get the front of the trailer thru too. No wall, just coal hopper rail cars.
both railroad bridges on this map are use-able. you only have to bump over the concrete blocks at both ends, it's a bit narrow to drive over but JBE Tatarin with widest tires fits so most trucks will. it also helps that the metal framing on the bridge doesn't have a hitbox on both sides so you can drive past the traincarts blocking the 2nd bridge👍🏻 the yellow diamonds show you every place where you can load the needed materials for the mission, even when you didn't find the stealable location yet
I just tried this again yesterday and there were K-rail sections on top of both curbs, preventing access. Sorry, don't recall which end, of which bridge, but I assume they're now on all.
Those disappearing markers are brick framing sites, like on the Yukon maps. You got bricks from one of them near the beginning of the video. Need to drive very near them before they'll show up on the map. Also, there is another road you could've used instead of climbing those rocks at the end. The one I always use is off the highway from Astronaut Town just before going under the railway bridge. Instead of going down that icy hill you couldn't go up, take a left on the highway. Follow the road around and when you see the bridge coming up over the road start looking on the right for a twisty path that cuts up the hill. Probably would've still been tough with double trailers but it's a better route than trying to climb that rocky hill.
It's kind of funny, one of the things I've found out with the new Zikz, when you try and go up those sections with ice and you really need chain tires, if you actually hug the rocky outcropping and allow the SIDEWALL of the tire to rub the rock face, it will actually gain traction. it works rather effectively with the Zikz because of it's larger tires and how far they stick out the sides.
President Seems like they've made it so if you want to actually enjoy doing anything with any amount of speed you have to use a mod truck. Otherwise your crawling slowly just about everywhere
Also the new trucks might actually do well as short log carriers. I've after used the Kodiak in Urska River, and used the CAT CT681 + Western Star 49X in Cosmodrone, and all three honestly did surprisingly well with short logs. They wasn't fast, they are for the most part Low Range + Diff type of deal (and remember to just into your second truck and turn on AWD as the ai doesn't seem to want to do that automatically). But damn man if they didn't manage to just crawl along. I was really impressed. I'm guessing adding the log cart must put a lot of extra weight on the back wheels, giving the trucks more grip. That's the only thing that makes any sense to me.
I built the warehouse, built the garage, cleared the roadblocks, and then built the main bridge. Worked out the best for me. Basically so i could just stay on the one side of the map for most of the delivery.
I used two two slot truck trailer combo’s for this contract, one iceberg and one dolphin and just roadtrained most of the items from urska.......took the easy road thru to the garage and just dumped the items from the iceberg and trailer and nipped off to the nearby space junk for the two metal beams for the roadblock the just reloaded and drove to the garage.......easy!!!. You may of been talking about me..... I sold the zikz, this was no overreaction as I don’t do this in real life......ever!!! The zikz performance was thoroughly investigated and the lack of chains/saddle low and small yellow crane overrode its ability to go thru deep snow/mud. On this game I have limited funds because I never did any of the money cheats or just repeating the trophies over and over so the sale of this truck bought more versatile trucks........ if they gave the zikz just these few abilities then you would have a vanilla non articulated iceberg!!!
I just finished the last contract on this phase and it's the best region ending mission so far. Really enjoyed this particular map the best of all 4. There's no way I could have gotten it done that quickly without using mods. I tried using a few base game trucks and just couldn't stand how slow they were. Even if you didn't get stuck, you were crawling almost everywhere. Add in the fact that the sideboard semi trailer only holds 5 slots, while the modded 8 slot trailer holds 10, and you can see why I was able to get a lot done. Mods I used were : JBE Tatarin Zikz 5368 Scout Mk2 RNG Zentos Mustang 5320 Truck Max Pak Twinsteer, P12, and Azov Antarctic (long log carrying monster) and Azov 5319.
They should contact me too. But since I'm using mods I wonder how many of my problems can be attributed to that. I've toned down my list to focus on the core mods that I actually really do like and use.
I break up the pronunciation into two words put together (if that makes sense), Cherno / Kamensk. (But I wouldn’t know the correct Russian pronunciation)
The bare minimum contract involves a semi fur tanker the one just in the gateway of north aegis instillation if you use any of the from it you have to reset the contract and get it full to make the deliver count just in case anyone uses the fuel
I'm run out small pipes in this task, because I have to craft some small pipes into medium pipes before. Is there any way to get more small pipes in amur?
Map designer proud of their map design. Players find short cut over railway bridge. Map designer gets butt hurt no one uses the super slow routes so puts invisible wall at railway bridge.
I used all the small pipes for other tasks now I can't seem to find any to complete the BACK IN ACTION task. None of the plants seem to be able to craft small pipes. Su ggestions?
If you can complete the contract called solid rock on Chernok, and then complete a contract called spring cleaning, the warehouse you unlock has small pipes 👍🏻 I’ve got both those missions on vids so you can see what you need to do
When doing this mission i tired to ford the river on cosmodrome with a trailer in a twinsteer (modded) and it went about as bad as yours as all the rescue trucks got washed away. in basically the dead center map there's a rocky area in the middle of the river, the current is mental and the rocks are a pain. Yeah it is a bug the whole engine thing and it's going to fixed in the next patch. The other 8x8 they're adding with that patch has chains, tbh nearly every vehicle should have chains. I can see the 770G or Forklift not having them.
Hi if you’re using the new zikz the truck mounted log carrier only takes small logs but doesn’t tell you this when you fit it, I traveled all the way to the log station on urska to find this out........I could of throttled the devs for this, just call it a small log cradle,,,,,,,,,is that too difficult?
I’m thinking 2 trips with the dolphin and Lo4f would be faster than this. I still think it’s down to the ramped flatbeds that were the problem. Those stupid things are just glitch amplifiers. I still blame the ramped flatbed for breaking my game on Switch, I mean it flipped a P16!
If I can get away with not using the dolly trailers I won't, they really are the worst announce to try reverse with no matter how slow and careful you are!
mannnn i f....up there r only 4 small pipes in all 4 maps in season 4...i used 1small pipes to craft medium pipes so i can craft metal beams and now i cant finish this mission bcs i am missing 1 smallpipes....fck
You don't have to stick along the side, the roads in Chernokamesnk really isn't that slick. Last night I opened up a warehouse, Sawmill and something else. The only time I spun out was when I had a trailer loaded down with concrete blocks and cement, I had a trailer with a really heavy load and I was on a long hill over by where the warehouses was. And that was the first time I ever got stuck on a hill on this map. For the most part you should be able to drive around fine on bare tires though, especially with you only having two bricks at the time of this writing. The roads here I guess are more like Alaska roads. They aren't like Urska River roads.
Don't use the small pipes to make whatever else it is you can (beams?) at the plant. Otherwise, you'll need to do two more long missions to open the warehouse w/unlimited sm pipes on the same map. 🙄
Thanks dude, I did use up the small pipes, was unsure how to complete back in action contract, so thanks for the tip on completing 2 other missions which then gave me unlimited small pipes.
It's situations like this that make me resort to a modded truck !!!!!!! So stupid to insert a truck like that into the game, finally, and then not allow chained tires.
