It's funny how after all this time, all of the hellish areas that caused you hours of grief recovering vehicles and attempting rescues just trying to open the garage on Imandra are burned into our brains like the Clockwork Orange experiment. This is the only map where following the roads or beaten paths was the worst thing you could have done.
Lol yeah I know what you mean, I didn’t like lake Kovd at first for how much the actual routes were terribly slow, once I learned all the shortcuts and work arounds, it helped! Imandra is kind of bad no matter where you go lol but I think the route I went is probably the fastest overall to cross the map 👍🏻
I saved this to the end of Kola as I knew it’d be a pain in the arse. This came up on google so after skipping through it saved a lot of time! My only deviation was to cut through the airfield and I went up the left of the rocks on the road to the west of the airfield. Other than tipping the azov 7 at the bottom of the last hill it went awesome. Thanks for taking time to do things like this!
I wish I had watched this video before i started Kola. The way you went out of the Lake Kovd garage is so much easier than the way I was doing it. I was turn right out of the gate and going through the deep snow and hopping over the rocks.
Wow! this video has really opened my eyes. I’m currently stuck with a single load of long logs at Imandra and I can’t believe you’ve done all 3 it in a single load! I imagined certain missions required to go multiple times, but you really showed how things can be done. Thanks!
The main problem with the devs, and by extension the game, is the fact that they confuse tedium with difficulty. Making me go slow, or making me go through the gate three times for one mission is not difficult. Putting stumps everywhere, and giving us phantom damage if we go to fast isn't difficult. Making the log cranes garbage, and nerfing the regular cranes isn't difficult.
Yeah I agree completely 👍🏻, they do get the two mixed up and a lot of the ways they slow us down isn’t actually difficult, just extra steps or slowing down the inevitable, the super mud for example, it’s easy as you just squeeze the throttle and wait, but it’s boring because all you do is squeeze the throttle and wait lol! And stuff like the cranes, I don’t want to play crane limitation simulator, if they give me a crane, just let it work as a crane, and again it doesn’t really make things more difficult, just yeah more tedious, loading a scout into a truck takes longer because the cranes can barely lift a scout! At least some mods have helped with those things 👍🏻
Also you went though Lake Kovd pretty much same way I did with P12 and Derry. I turned off the main road before the tippy section though, not after it. Better to go through the ice then risk tipping over. That river isn't deep anyway, so the soft ice isn't really a issue there.
Imandra we differ. The highway doesn't turn decent until your past the airport. I went along the ice to, but I wiggled though the tree's and cut up onto the airport. I then drove off behind the airport and reconnected to the road on the other side. Far better then the way your going.
I’ve tried both ways but I still prefer the way I went, it’s about as close to as the crow flies as you can get, and it’s pretty smooth sailing along that route, I used to get stuck more going the other way, as well as using more fuel as it’s a less direct route with more slow crawling through snow
Hey Wolf. If you haven't already, get Truck Life Improvements for your modded playthrough. It comes with a tweaked dolphin that's pretty nice. Lifted suspension, more tire choices, more addons. TLI has some stuff in it to improve vanilla trucks too. Might be worth adding it to your unmodded playthrough tbh. Nothing OP in it, just some QoL type stuff.
Yeah I’ve had that mod for a while, the only reason I didn’t use it much was because I didn’t have all the dolphin engines unlocked, so I had to drive it stock which kinda defeated the purpose, but I got the top engines just yesterday so I can finally use it fully upgraded 👍🏻
Yeah it worked out pretty well lol 👍🏻🍞🐎! If they fix that glitch where packed stuff stays in place when towing the truck it’s on, then it would have worked perfectly 👍🏻
Totaly agree. 3 deliverys of long loggs are ok if they say made it so it was delivered to 3 different places. That would solve it. Easy. Devs realy habe been lazy whit logging work 😥

All I have left to do on Kola Peninsula besides the big plane mission (can't wait to start that one) is this mission. I agree with every logging mission requiring 3 loads is a bit much and uninspirational, 1 or 2 loads would make it a lot less tedious. That being said, I never thought of using a trailer to transport 6 logs, that is one hell of a solution! Just like having a scout on the roof of the truck for refueling. How do you get it up there, with a crane? I'll definitely give it a go! So glad I'm almost done with this map, after finishing the remaining two missions I'm happy to get back to the US maps.
Sadly Lone Wolf I think you'll have to make do with Dolphin how he is. I suspect Dolphin is pretty low on the dev's priority list of trucks to update. As I said before I don't just play single player, but I also play multiplayer as well. And online I see a lot of Azov 64's, I even see some 10X10 Bruce's. But I literally never, ever see anybody driving Dolphin's. It's a shame to as it's a good truck, but I think most people buy it, see it only has 200L of fuel, see's how fast it burns said fuel, and then just sells it again. Vehicles like the ANK, KOLOB, and Bruce, these seem to be vehicles people use, thus making them vehicles that are higher on Sabre's list. Honestly I'm surprised we haven't gotten like a Tuned Custom super lift for the Tayga yet.
Yeah I don’t think it’s a priority of theirs, which is fine really as the truck is great as it is! Some raised suspension would be nice, but it doesn’t need it like Bruce could do with it! Even if it was modded, the only thing they could do really is give it more fuel and maybe a roof rack then, but it doesn’t really need more power or much of anything, maybe more add ons, and I wish the devs would add a medium log carrier for it 👍🏻
I did this mission with the same trailer set up using a pair of Rino kolobs and it was still a massive pain in the arse to complete as I knew it would be which is why I left it to be the last mission I needed to do to get 100% completion.
Lol yeah I’ve been leaving it as long as I could, to be fair they could have made it worse, but it’s basically just trying to travel right across both maps, would take 10 minutes on some maps, well over an hour on these maps though! Nice job getting 100% dude 👍🏻
I started doing this mission with the Bruce and the sideboard semi, but loaded all 9 logs into it and not bother doing the train thing... unfortunately when i was crossing into Imandra map, the game glitched out and the logs went through the trailer, started jumping around, bent it and finally flipped it and spilled out onto the road. I spent 30 minutes picking them back up with the claw! >:(
President Im guessing some of these mission are designed with co-op gameplay in mind so you can have some sort of challenge with 4 people on the map at one time 🐺 🍞 🐬 🐟 🐴 🎩
At 27:00 I hear you say you have to cash in the plane parts in order to eventually get the platinum trophy. DLC is not required for the platinum trophy. Better yet, the DLC doesn't have any trophies at all. Kind of a bummer if you ask me.
No I never finished it, maybe I’ll revisit it in a live stream or soemthing, although I had frame rate issues on yukon which is also why I left it, that and the broken missions with 15 cabins etc! One day I’ll get them sorted 👍🏻
Yeah it’s technically doable that way, but as the logs aren’t packed, they’ll bounce and jiggle around a lot and I’d be surprised if you get to the other end with all logs still on there
I'm not even joking I made so many bad decisions and was so stubborn about delivering the original 3 loads that it took me a solid week of playtime in order to finish this. P.S. Fellow SnowRunner RU-vidr, want to do a review of something like the ZikZ 605R as a collaboration or something?
Yeah I knew this mission would be a bit of a slow trollish pain, but fortunately I got through it with relatively few problems 👍🏻! As for a collab, maybe one day dude but once the new maps etc drop, then I’ll be flat out busy getting footage and editing vids and so on and just don’t have the extra time to do stuff like that right now
If you and me are thinking of the same rocks, just on back of the airport right? You realise you can like just extremely easily drive around them, right? You don't have to go over them.
I’m not sure if we’re thinking of the same ones, there’s a road area that’s plastered with rocks, I’ve not been that way since not long after the map came out, but back when I did, it was a sea of rocks with no easy way around them, and they were big enough to get all kinds of trucks stuck

@@itsmrlonewolf btw if your interested I think that tractor mod I'm using is worth checking out. It doesn't have a High gear, BUT from what I can tell when in Auto it seems to hold 4th gear very well. A high would be nice but I get the idea of it being a tractor. But like I said Auto basically seems to be your high anyway. While I'm not using it, it does have a plow if you want to try clearing rocks off the road. Comes with 2 versions, a2WD and a 4X4. At least the 4X4 far as I can tell seems to be quite good offroad. It has a bunch of unique trailers, a lot of them I cogonized when I had the pickup truck pack. The B-130 or whatever that truck was called back in MudRunner. It seems to share a lot of trailers with that mod. Plus it has the two scout flatbeds as optional. Seems like it's quite the little hauler, which again is logical for a tractor. I did that rescue farmers truck mission with it, towed the white western right out of that swap no problem. Overall, I say it's worth checking out. These are mods I like, reasonable, unique mods. I don't care for using modded versions of trucks that's already in the game, or over the top stuff like the Monstroity. I like to play around with unique vehicles. So far I've had the IX Wrecker, IX Heavy Wrecker, a few military trucks, a B-130 mod, and currently I'm using this tractor. Like I know for example a modded Twin-Steer is a lot better then the default Twin-Steer. And if I was on PC where you could have hundreds of mods, sure, then I'd use upgraded vehicles. But since I'm on console and mod space is limited, I rather just play around with unique vehicles rather then use up my mod space downloading vehicles that are already in the game anyway. But again that's just me. As good as say the Azov Iceberg is, in my mind that's just a waste of space as a Antarctic is already in the game. That's kinda how I see mods in my mind, just to give you a idea. But yea the tractor, I say try it out. I think she feels pretty good. If your interested of course.
