Yeah it’s a handy one to know dude, I use that all the time! Especially on maps that have no garage, they usually have trailer stores! Except Drummond island, but there’s a trailer store in smithville about 20 seconds from the tunnel so it’s not that bad
Mrpineapples you have to retain them dude and then go into your truck storage and it should tell you which button it is to sell it at the bottom, I believe it’s triangle for ps4
Just to recap the 7 tips! 1. Stack cargo at the front and the “pack cargo” option will load all slots of your trailer for you (Benny in the comments made a good point, tip 1 was more to help you in the event you flip your trailer in the middle of nowhere and have a crane on you, in the footage I used I was at the farm which I could have just autoloaded the cargo, I forgot to mention which situation it’s handy for) 2. Tapping L1 while in auto gearbox mode will change your gears to the most appropriate gear (up or down) depending on the terrain etc, without dropping itself to 1st and climbing back up the gears! 3. Winching from the back of your truck, to something in front of your truck is another way of pulling yourself forward even when there’s nothing decent to winch off of from the front of your truck 4. Trailer stores are repair/ refuelling points, you need $7,500 for the maintenance trailer, fix and refuel yourself and then sell it back! 5. Jiggle your crane using the restore crane button to possibly move your truck to a point where you can start the engine, or winch to something (not guaranteed to work but is worth knowing and trying) 6. In most, if not all vehicles, winching in reverse is better than winching in 1st when trying to flip another vehicle back over, this is because the reverse gear is just better geared to give you a bit of extra torque and speed etc! 7. Wedge yourself behind a tree or anything that doesn’t move when winching another vehicle if you’re struggling to pull or flip it back on it’s wheels! Even a tiny scout vehicle can flip a massive truck back over as long as you can wedge it behind something so the scout vehicle can’t just slide along towards what you’re trying to winch!
I have a tip you didnt mention when stuck in mud with nothing to grab simply moveing the front tyres left and right will more times then not reshape the mud to clear the build up in front of the tyre,same for going up hills ,move tyres left and right to get it inching forward again,and 2nd tip -when doing missions- you can attach 2 trailers..most trucks dont come with a trailer but trailers will attach to the truck,you can also use the winch to attach another trailer to the attached trailer. so even if you dont have a trailer you can find one on the map somewhere,and bring it back to garage,3RD If trailers you find in world have cargo on them leave it on it and take it to the garage when the games map show's where to pick up the item needed for your mission it will show the trailer with the needed item at your garage if you took a trailer with the cargo on it to garage. 4:REVERSE PLOT COURSE -mark the point or place to go and it will show a straight line to it,clearly trucks can do that so starting at theplace point reverse the path by moveing the path on ps4 holding right trigger 2 over the path and move the left stick will let you move the path to the nearest road to reverse plot path. to wherever you are. and 5: if someone wanting this game is a extreme natralist who considers tyres running over small frozen trees or spinning tyres in the snow or winching to a tree to pull your truck out and doing so pulls a tree out or down a crime to mother nature then they should not play this game and instead go play farmville. MY REAL NUMBER 5 though would be drive over your previous path ..if you can see in the mud or ice where you have driven before or where the trail is place your tyres on it to gain traction,and 6: when needing to repair trucks the VAN BODY ADDON listed under FRAME ADDONS will give 800 repair points everytime it leaves the garage it's not a 1 time use,ive yet to come across a truck needing more then 800 repair points,but even if you did you wont need to buy more just recover and drive to location again though ive not found one needing more then 800 yet
gamergirl 5317 damn there’s plenty of tips there lol! Thanks for those though 👍🏻! Wiggling the tyres is a handy one back from the days of mudrunner lol! I love winching more trailers too, I was hauling 10 cargo slots yesterday with an ANK 38 towing a 4 slot flatbed and winching another! And when I got there the mission accepted all of them, I didn’t need to disconnect and attach the other trailer or anything which was nice! Yeah this game (thankfully) has no time for co2 emissions and tree hugging! I’ve killed more trees than a forestry game! To be honest it would be kinda cool if random moose or something could come running across the road and smash the front of your truck up if you hit them! That last tips worth knowing too, also if you have a repair trailer you can just sell it at a trailer store and buy it straight back and it’ll refill all its repair points and fuel etc!
This was a great video, also I have some too like You can always carry one extra unit of cargo with your crane, so at most you can carry around 6 small cargo, being enough to get the radioactive shit out of the damaged warehouse in Taymir in one go Also, if the mission doesn't specifically support manual unloading, you can't complete it if you just haul a cargo with a crane on the frame of your truck, it specifically has to be packed in a cargo slot....which is dumb and annoying. ALSO if you don't pack your cargo you can sometimes fit WAY more on your truck using a crane (for example, the secure containers in the Drowned Lands in Taymir are TINY, reckon you could fit like 7 of them in a 5 slot sideboard semi, 8 iif you hang one from your crane as well!

The shift thing was new to me. 1 thing i found very usefull was for most trucks that have a gearbox with high gear available if u can keep your truck moving in high gear (H) u will save alot of fuel. In auto the truck is constantly wanna power on to shift up in gears which also spikes the fuel usage all the time u shange gears. By using high gear (H) as mutch as possable that will lower your top speed but your overall distance u can travel before u need to refuel is going way up. On main roads u may not wanna use this but in offroad, mud, swamp areas this works very good.

Reverse produces more torque in the same way FWD cars produce more torque, that's true to real life, nice to see it's simulated(Havok physics simplifies this, IRL you need transmission coolers or well, some semi trucks have 3 reverse gears). For dummies : rotational force is closer to the front of the mass, it's a pull vs push.. It's easier to pull something up a hill than to push it because of how leverage works. Also as a trans tech, reverse gear is always geared lower than first gear. In automatic transmissions this is also true, but it's fluid controlled via some spiffy valve body routing (you can drill out passages to make this even better on some transmissions, for demolition derbies and stuff)

number3 no I just turned it down, personally I’ve got a Bluetooth headset so I’ve just been bluetoothing music from my phone music or RU-vid, to my headset and listen that way! Although I believe if you have Spotify, then you can get it on the PS4 and sync it etc and then play your music through the tv while playing the game and do it that way! Not done it myself like that so don’t know the details but I’m sure a RU-vid vid would show you how to sort that out

Here's another tip for you: Attaching your winch can take a while sometimes because of all the steps involved. (open function menu, choose attach winch, step through attach points on the truck and confirm, step through attach points in terrain and confirm, THEN you can winch) If you're in the interior view, the quick winch option will attach to whatever is closest to the center of where you're looking. (go to the cab view, look where you want to attach and quick winch) When I'm crawling along a road and want to use heavier trees to pull myself along I find this much faster.

Yeah it really is lol! On a relatively flat surface it doesn’t do a whole lot but usually still enough to start your engine, but on a hill you can sometimes get rolling again and get back on your wheels!

Well I’m glad to hear that mate, I almost over explain some things but I’d rather give full context so that even your mum or someone who’s never played could do it, I know what you mean some people who know how to do something assume everyone knows certain bits and doesn’t explain them fully and it can get confusing! Well here’s another tip I’ve not made a vid on yet for that problem that might help you! It’s not 100% guaranteed but if you notice the game saves itself every minute or 2, so if you’re in the middle of nowhere and roll your truck, immediately hold the ps button and close the application/game (I assume xbox has something similar, not sure with pc but I’m sure closing game is possible) then click back on the game and load it back up, and unless you’re really unlucky and it was saving the game as you rolled it, then basically it should load your game back up about a minute or so back, i.e. just before you rolled it! Close the game though or turn off the computer and back on, don’t quit to main menu or it’ll save it where you currently are! The idea is to basically lose a minute or so of progress! And don’t waste time trying to right yourself if you know you’re screwed because again if it saves while you’re trying then when you do the close and load back up trick, it’ll load you up already rolled over! Found this out by accident when I rolled and by chance my game crashed 20 seconds later, and when I loaded the game back up, I was about a minute back down the road just before I rolled! It’s a bit of cheat but who cares, if it saves you half an hour when you can’t be arsed with some mass recovery then it’s worth it!

Yeah to be honest I’m the same, I enjoy the challenge, I used the premium trucks this time for possible footage but I want to do another play through with different trucks too! I’ve not properly used that tip myself, it worked in my favour by accident when it crashed, and I also tested it myself to make sure it wasn’t the game crash and it does work, but so far I’ve always gone the proper way and brought another truck to help lol, don’t even like to recover if I can help it! But one day when I’m half hour from going bed and roll it in the middle of nowhere it may come in handy when I can’t be arsed with the full real experience lol! No problem man I hope they help too! @@itsmrlonewolf out of all the scouts i have i like the hummer the best. Lifted 6.2T and snowrunner gears with the lockable diff. The 1500 seems sluggish and the scout 800 is very tippy. The Khan is a beast but seems to lack power but fuel consumption makes up for that plenty
96camaroguy haha it’s funny some people really like it and others can’t stand it! It does show though they’ve done really well with the vehicle characteristics because there’s never really 1 out right winner, people’s driving style and so on seems to play a large part in who likes what! I’ve got the 6.2T and the raised etc, not sure with the gearbox but on north port it’s forever struggling it feels like! To be honest I scouted very few maps with the scouts! I did white valley with the Cat 745C lol! With the top engine I don’t think the kahn is too bad but not as great as some people reckon! CK is a bit slow! You should try that international loadstar, I tried it for a minute earlier and it was pretty nippy, gets off the start like it’s got launch control lol! Can always sell it back for full price if you don’t like it
@@96camaroguy I think you should go to Taymir and get the YAR, I could get it as soon as I entered the garage. It seems to have way more everything in comparison to the others: bigger tires, more ground clearance, more traction, always on diff, and it's also a 4x6 with front and middle wheel drive if that makes any sense, so you will always have traction on at least one set of gears even without AWD. also it is VERY fuel efficient and has a rather large tank. It's also very powerful
I just started on this game and I'm really enjoying it. Would love some company but I don't know if there's a community still. Also, that tree and winch one was one I figured out myself. Had the Apache truck and the Bandit. I flipped the bandit and had the Apache nearby so I put it behind a tree and used it's autonomous winch to flip the 8 wheel bandit. Was definitely a fun situation

What I really wish they would do is add support for my shifter, that would make using the g29 nearly perfect! I thought on MudRunner the shifter DID work?
@@itsmrlonewolf lol no you have to move them out of that spot. Okay when in a vehicle do not recover but go to your world map and there should be a go to garage button. Just like when switching from Michigan to Alaska but you stay in same area that you're in. Try it out! When I first did It I was kinda amazed.

these are the best tips: 1. don't flip 2. don't drown 3. don't run out of fuel 4. don't get stuck in mud if you follow these you should be able to do everything also don't take shortcuts since they will lead you to failing to follow these tips
I didn't see anyone else mention but low range and reverse are pretty much like for like, so using the low instead of Auto 1, would have been able to pull over the Navistar with the GMC.

Nikolai Orlov yeah raised suspension is one of the best upgrades I love it on all trucks and miss it on those that don’t have it! The fleetstsr isn’t that bad once it’s fully upgraded which is good considering it’s practically the first one you get!

I needed to test every truck that could carry a cargo container on some timed delivery event for some video I’m working on, how to make the quickest money with no cheats or glitches etc! And I tested the fleetstar and for its price etc it held up bloody well! I was proud of it! It’s not an easy route! It’s from the train station in Zimnegorsk to the saw mill with a cargo container as fast as possible on extremely bumpy roads and sloppy mud and leaning roads etc so trust me lots of trucks couldn’t even make it! That thing put in a respectable time first go! It’s not the winner but like not far behind! It showed up trucks that are 3-5 times the price of it!

I don’t think it lets us do that on the PS4? Just tried and it just starts loading from the front to the back in auto load and no option to change the slot? But if I wanted some cargo at the back only for example I’d just fill the trailer and delete the front cargo which takes seconds anyway! Maybe how it just jumps into place is our version to get round the problem?
What the 4 slot red ramped trailer? Yeah I hate that one too, but at the same time it’s so bloody handy as you can winch it and tow it etc! You can make the Fleetstar basically a proper semi truck by going into frame add ons and adding a saddle low, then you can attach the blue 5 slot trailer which is way nicer to tow! The Navistar in the thumbnail is £1.69 in the ps store and that’s a proper semi! There’s a few options if that’s what you prefer! In fact I’d say 90% of trucks on the game can be turned into a truck with a 5th wheel 👍🏻
Yeah that’s true dude, near the end of the vid I do that with the ck1500 to flip the ank 38, not sure I had diff lock on the gmc but when I did that clip I just wanted to show how with an identical set up it pulls better in reverse! But diff lock is a life saver! I always prefer trucks that have that option!
@@itsmrlonewolf diff lock is good, yes, but don't overlook trucks without it. Take the Royal BM17 for instance, it has no diff lock but it's one of the best trucks in the game until you get access to the Tayga or Voron Grad, and it's really easy to find. I never get the Royal stuck
RootBeerTuna yeah true the royal is pretty decent! And I’ve got a fair few trucks that don’t have it that are really good! But to be fair if I had the option to equip diff locks then I would on everything lol! I like the royal but that thing flies and I can’t stop rolling it everywhere because I refuse to slow down until it’s clearly too late! Yeah even stock the tayga was impressive, not used the Voron yet though
You can also just stick the truck in reverse when youre going high speeds in the icey roads to completely stop your truck even faster, because mudtires thats why

The cargo trick doesn’t work on switch/console. When you try to pack cargo that’s double stacked it will warn you that it’s stacked and it will delete the additional cargo

Good tips, but the first one is a bit strange to me. If you want to speed up the loading, just use automatic. If you do manual to be more realistic, then disconnecting the trailer is the way to go isn't it? Great video, calm and clear (something that I didn't realise was so hard to find 😁)
Lol that’s a very good point dude! To be honest I originally found out the usefulness of stacking the cargo when I rolled my trailer on a road on the side of a mountain, so once I got the trailer and stuff back on the road, disconnecting and reversing along the side wasn’t an option really as the road was so narrow I’d have rolled off the hill, so I needed to crane and repack all 4 without disconnecting, that’s what I meant it to help with, however I just made that clip to demonstrate it, and you’re quite right, I completely forgot to explain when it would come in handy so now it does just like a long way of autoloading or a half assed realistic one lol! Although another reason why i sometimes load like this rather than autoload, is because apparently you can get a bonus, so bigger payout per job for using the crane to stack them yourself over autoloading! I’ve not been able to confirm this 100% as I can’t do a mission, then load an earlier save and do the exact same mission again both ways! But it’s I vid I’m working on so I’ll play around with it later and if I can confirm or deny it either way and get some decent info worth knowing then I’ll make a vid on that too explaining how to get the most money from each job! Well with some testing, the quickest repeatable money maker I’ve found is the contest from the train station in drowned lands to the saw mill, delivering a container! Not done a vid yet but essentially if you have the Tayga or the azov 8 wheeler (all the Vorons aren’t bad either), the Tayga will get there in about 2:52 is my quickest time for $5600! The others aren’t far behind (And are hard to roll)! And then recover to garage, drive back down the road to grab another container and do the mission again and roughly you can do it every 4 minutes for $5600 so about $87,000 odd an hour! Just use a flatbed! If you use a trailer then you’ll have to leave it there each time you recover so it’s not worth it! But it’s quick repeatable money if you’re running short like I always am lol! If horns cost more I’d be broke!

Josh Haney yeah what do you think to it dude? I don’t regret buying it! It wasn’t OP at the start or anything but it’s also very upgradable along the way and remains decent at least throughout the game I thought! There are better trucks though but I like it! High gear is awesome in it!
I was just using that as demo footage dude but really I meant it more for if you crash and roll and lose your cargo on the other side of the map, then you don’t have to load every cargo properly, just sling them on like this and you’ll be back to driving in a few minutes rather than an hour lol 👍🏻

Even stock it’s really good but fully upgraded it’s basically the best truck in the game pretty much! Or no one would argue that it’s easily one of the best at least! It’s fast, hard to roll, and can go through, up, and over just about anything! It’s my most used truck for behind the scenes of these videos when I just need to get somewhere for footage etc and don’t need the full snowrunner experience lol! If I had to have 1 truck to do the entire game, it’s probably what I’d choose to be honest!
I’m not sure to be honest dude, is that the newest Xbox? Easiest way would probably be to check eBay or amazon and see if you can buy it on the right console! I know it’s on Xbox so I’m going to say yes but not 100% sure
@@itsmrlonewolf my buddy wasted $2 on it and we both wasted alot of time finding him all the upgrades just so the thing could still get stuck in the mud as if it's made out of solid concrete. It looks cool though.
Austin Park yeah that sucks! I didn’t feel like I had that problem too much but then again I have nothing to compare it to early game as I drove that a lot! With the military engine it shifts! I guess the good news is though your mate can sell it for $140k and get just about anything else 👍🏻! If nothing else the Navistar is kind of a one off micro transaction to give you $140k that will never disappear or diminish with each purchase! Just started a new game for other testing purposes and I sold the Navi and Kahn straight away and you can buy some right beasts even at level 2! A Voron, paystar, the long nose massive Kolob thing and some big Azov trucks and all sorts!
Great video.This game is ridiculously difficult in the first 8 hours though. Impossible to complete any missions and just boring wandering around the map trying to find parts. Pay to win DLC pretty much ruins it.

Well I don’t think it’s quite pay to win as at least you can actually buy the kahn and Navistar in game for in game money, unlike say black ops 4 etc where they add insanely strong weapons that are only available behind lootboxes which is not just only real money but it’s then pot luck as to how many it takes, but I will agree in as much as it’s like pay for a quicker start! But people who pre ordered got the Navistar for free so didn’t need to pay anything extra, and the kahn is “free” if you have the season pass version plus to be fair I don’t think the kahn was that good stock, it was quicker than the ck1500 but I found the scout 800 in about the first half hour and that’s pretty quick and capable too! Once the kahn is upgraded though it definitely walks all over the ck1500! But you can buy the kahn pretty quickly for $20k! Depending on the route you go at the start then yeah I could see it being a longer slower start unless you find the other trucks fairly quickly, but now I’ve played the game then if/when I restart the game I know now where to go straight away for different trucks and to be honest I think you’d be better off selling the ck and the gmc and the kodiak and getting one of those Voron trucks or the paystar is apparently pretty good too! that kodiak 70 thing isn’t bad, and I also don’t think the Navistar was that amazing stock, I didn’t get that for a day or so, but now I’ve spent like $60k on it it’s pretty damn good! Don’t get me wrong I know I’m going a little easy on the game, but to be honest I actually feel like I got my money’s worth and they haven’t tried ripping me off and giving me as little as possible, so I am going easier on them than I would call of duty or something that always soon becomes literally pay to win! In fairness the Navistar is only £1.69 not £10 or behind random chance lootboxes, and I’m happy with the premium edition for £60 (cost me $85 for the premium version of cod and I barely got sod all, still had to pay for extra weapons etc)! So I get what you’re saying dude but my advice would be to not let it bother you and don’t let it put a downer on your experience because there’s a really good massive game in there after the fairly slow start! If you’ve made it past the start now then you should be getting free trucks etc and you only need to sell 1 or 2 of those and you can go and buy the Navistar it loads of other stuff for in game money! There’s like half a million or more in free trucks so you can easily buy any truck you want without too much effort! Anyway apart from the start I hope you’re enjoying it dude 👍🏻
Its not a pay to win, you got some chevy upgrade right from the start, you can scout the entire first map easily. Just sell the first GM truck and the fleetstar near the garage and buy yourself the Paystar, this truck is a beast for starting, you can to all the first map with ease with this truck
Maxime Goyer yeah exactly! I can see how some people’s first 10 hours or so could have been slow, but knowing what I know now I could smash the first part with or without the kahn and Navistar! Like you say just sell the first stuff and buy something meaty!
Well it’s not easy, and there’s definitely some hard maps, but it’s honestly not that bad, it eases you into it so the first maps are pretty easy and I guess it gets as hard as you want it, it’s open world and you can take the contracts and tasks at your own pace and order so it’s fine really! It definitely helps to think your way through some parts but generally it’s a really good enjoyable game with loads to do! There’s plenty of vids on here too with tips and guides and so on if you get stuck! But with all missions if you get stuck or bored then you can go to another mission, you aren’t forced to finish once you start! And you can always recover your truck to the garage so you’ll never get stuck and just be stuck there! Hope that helps 👍🏻!
Ricky boi 999 YT not really, the first map, Black river, has got a lot of main roads etc! There’s a few spots on the map that you can get stuck but there’s ways to avoid them until you’ve got a truck that can handle it, and it gives you free trucks on just about every map that are basically good enough to handle that map! The first map kind of walks you through the first few missions until you get to your garage and as I said from there you can recover and all sorts so you’ll be fine!
About ready for another play through then lol! I’m not far off I’ve got a few missions here and there and then yeah just contests basically! At least they’re repeatable!
@@itsmrlonewolf yup, I'm on rank 28 and do contests later lol. I read article that they add feature "save slots" and also mods support for console. If that actually happens then it is totally awesome 😁 just hope. Ha.
Rob Hyde yeah you’re almost done then, the top level is level 30! I’ve heard the same thing dude, mods for console should be on their way at some point but yeah I’ve heard based off feedback that they are adding multiple saves which will be awesome 👍🏻! Now we can have a new game without losing all of our first play through! Fingers crossed they both happen

Rob Hyde don’t worry dude if you get some more missions etc done then it will tick over to level 30 eventually! I thought it was bugged too but not too long after I did some more stuff and it eventually levelled me up! Where it says 4100/4100, I’ve got a feeling it’s supposed to be 7100 or whatever! While I was doing that contest in drowned lands running a cargo container from the train station to the saw mill, I got to level 29, I was just repeating the run to make some money and test which vehicle is fastest and after a few more runs it bumped me up to level 30! So if you’re not there by the time you read this then you should be very soon 👍🏻! Also if you want quick repeatable money then do that container run I just mentioned, in the Tayga my quickest time was 2:52! Then just recover to garage and drive back to the train station, grab a container on the way and start it again! I was getting $5,600 every 4 minutes no problem! I’ll do a video on it soon!
Why what’s been happening dude? What you playing it on? I’ve had a couple of blue screens but no lagging or anything like that! I might be able to help you lessen the blue screens and suggest trucks etc
