Bear and I set out to snow shoe one of the popular hikes on Mount Hood, Mirror Lake Trail. Some days all you really need is a solo snow shoe to a quiet mountain lake.
While summer draws in the crowds for backpacking & beautiful reflective views of Mount Hood. Winter is arguably the best time to visit! Not only do the crowds disappear but the frozen lake covered in a blanket of snow give this place that remote, pristine look.
