The male needs to hunt lemmings all the time to have enough for everyone. All chicks can already swallow their prey whole well and quickly. The mother distributes the food among the chicks carefully. Important: we see that the owlets do not take food from each other and do not show aggression. They beg for food from their parents. In 220 minutes of video observations of this family, 8 lemmings were swallowed by the chicks!
