@@christinasutherland3604 yes and no. I would rather vote for a party that actually had a vision and offered something than voting against something I didn’t
I cannot believe that they never expected to fall so far. The complacency arrogance and fact that they are totally out of touch with the majority of people in Scotland just highlight once again how utterly useless they are.
@@roz8723 agreed. I have a family member who said that if the SNP lose any seats that he’d move out of Scotland, I’ve just offered to pay for half his ticket, he laughed ….
Tories 13%, SNP 30%, Labour 36% of votes in Scotland. The last election they had an enormous 45% of the vote which which is why comparisons look bad. Remember, the Scottish Parliament has PR which means that if this was replicated they'd be close to Labour in seats
@@UnknownUser-rb9pd In other words, the SNP lost a third of their votes. I think we all know the difference between a Westminster and Holyrood election, and this wasn't a Holyrood election
Considering the leader of labour who took the seats off them last night, made a near identical speech on the same day, that would suggest the speech was not too much of a problem, or maybe they are not aware of his speech because the media has not highlighted it. Matters not which one is in control, both party's are full of self serving lying spineless cowards. People are deluding themselves if they think the new mob are any different from the old mob.
No it wasn't as all those who didn't vote for the wretched SNP voted for Liebour and got them into power. At every stage the SNP have tried to cause immense damage to the Union of the UK, but this time they have well and truly gone and done it. Things are going to get very bad in the UK and I don't think come 2029 that even if Reform do very well that we can recover from the damage Liebour will inflict upon the UK in the next 5 years.
@@UnknownUser-rb9pd Correct. The SNP, despite being the 3rd largest party at Westminster, were rarely acknowledged in the UK parliament let alone enjoyed any "power". The Scottish parliamentary elections in 2026 will be the real test for the SNP - and they better get their act together before then.
@@mrdemocracy7106the irony in your name lol sadwar/starmer are anything but democratic they will never accept that over 50% of the people of Scotland still believe in independence
@@davehallett810the woman joke has run it's course, one thing the s.n.p. genuinely can't do is to stop blaming all there faults and problems on Westminster,if they concentrated more on themselves and whatever support they still have ,they just might be able to sort some of the problems affecting my home nation .
ignoring Boris who ruined the uk economy plus all that corruption and sleaze around covid and awarding contracts to make millions for his friend's and all the other countless corrupt things they got up to along with liz truss crashing the economy etc
Lol nothing to do with labour, it was about sending a message to the arrogant snp who thought they were too big to fall, and put themselves above every scot.
And put foreigners piling into Scotland at their behest on a pedestal and to give them the vote to try and get their view of 'independence' that way - a Scotland with no Scots in it!
Corruption not tolerated in Scotland or England as this election has shown. And rightly so, parties can be in power too long and then they become well heeled dodgy chancers.
They put a male rapist in prison with women. They were responsible for me sharing a 4 bed hospital ward with 3 other men. 2 of which were addicts. They were well warned about the removal of single sex spaces but proceeded with the craziness. Masters of their own downfall.
.........what a fool he is.....as bad as Diane Abbott saying all white peoples look the same and then giggling hysterically about it.....what was funny about that was she was not stood down or arrested just went on her merry way with her shoes on the wrong foot....
@@MrToymaster1 fair point but people have to be aware of the consequences of voting for a protest party, which is what Reform are, in places where the polling is very tight. Having said that just why anyone in the Aberdeen area would vote for SNP is beyond me .
@@Support-your-local-team LOL nonsense, why would anyone wishing independence vote for a party who have zero interest in it and will not deliver it. I mean the SNP didn't deliver it either despite a million promises year after year, but at least Labour will focus on important things not 99% on an Indy Ref 2 scam just to get votes like the SNP did
@@gazzisright7362 The opinion polls are all tracked online, search "Scottish independence opinion polling". Most polls have no ahead by very slim majorities. If everybody voted based on Scottish v British nationalism then the SNP wouldn't have had a shocker, it would have been close.
@@Support-your-local-team No it hasn’t, it’s at the bottom of people’s priorities. SNP could have sheltered Scotland from the Tories but instead they made things worse to push their extreme left wing agendas.
Sarwar needs to be mindful and not to celebrate too much, that the people of Scotland didnt vote for labour ! they tactically voted against the SNP, if Labour doesnt work for the people the next poll will likely return for reform, in the main voters are not any longer loyal to one party ? they vote for who will actually work for them at local level and stick to manifesto promises and will change like the wind if any future party fails to remember that
Nonsense. This was an anti-tory vote. Sarwar is mopping up the credit for Starmers' efforts. And Reform will disappear like their previous versions of the party did.
@@andrewadam9544 totally agree. Sarwar is no different from Humza, he virtually made the same White White White speech. I predict they won’t turn any of the SNP bad policies, I think they might even double down on a few.
Its not for me to judge on who the Scots voted in this time but I just hope that the Scottish people get a better government, better service from their public servants, better accountability, better value, and above all a better life. Heaven knows what they’ve had of late is shameful.
R democracy Unionists are bigger embarrassment to Scotland thats why 91 % Scottish never put British as there nationality on population survey question
@@andyo8141 I’m not sure that the Scottish Labour Party can do that. I suspect that it’ll be business as usual with those lot. Remember they have no money to spend, so expect increased taxes.
@@stevenicol1 there is no missing 600.000 it was donated money by me and others for things to do with independence not tax money so there is no crime silly .. A real crime is the 37 billion on englands failed track and trace system where Germany built a working one for one billion 🤔 where are all those missing billions
I'm a lifelong nationalist and former SNP member that gave up on them years ago. The trigger for me was when they stopped being a real nationalist party. That decision was taken at the Moir hall in Perth. They unilaterally decided to abandon the use of general elections to attain independence. There is absolutely no reason why general elections cannot be used to obtain an independence mandate and use that to present a bill at Westminster demanding indepencence. The votes they won were obtained deceitfully as many supporters believed they were voting for independence when in fact they were not. They cheated their voters and supporters in exactly the same way as the other parties that they showed such contempt for. I'm glad to see them get the kicking they deserve. The problem is that they have opened the door to the unionists of the Labour party and set back the cause of independence and national sovereignty, perhaps for ever.
hahahaa and they asked for the winning government to give them indyref2, it was never going to happen and now its really really really never going to happen.
Doubtful. Didn't sturgeon claim it was common sense to chop the bottom of fire doors off in schools? Can't really look more incompetent than that. What a clown.
Each of the top tier of the SNP need to be interviewed and asked what they knew about the missing money and the motorhome purchase preferably by a good journalist first on camera then the police as part of their investigation.
Why they sending all that cash back to the EU then ? £ 650 Million under-spend apparently, if Brexit was to blame? They need to take a right good look in the mirror and stop their blame shifting. 😡
@@michaeldryden4639 of course she’d say that, along with Westminster and those bloody English and those voters that didn’t do as they were told and …. and…. That vial woman never took any responsibility when she was in charge why would she now?
For a start SNP needs rebranding specifically a name change. I would rename the party "SCOTLAND 1705" because this the date that Scotland was an Independent country pre the act of union in 1707.
Nicola must be so proud. She said every SNP vote this election was a de-facto vote for independence and the people have spoken. Oh dear. Maybe the SNP messed up every single thing they touched over the last years.
As a proudly naturalised British citizen, I've always lived in Edinburgh and I love Scotland, but frankly the narrow-minded, IndyRef2-fixated SNP that in the process have forgotten to focus on the people and deal with everyday problems professionally rather putting one major aim "independence" into their political goal deserves nothing but DEFEAT! I'm so HAPPY! :)
Oo happy days. To day I woke up with a sense of relief and hope. The Tories were out and SNP had lost the majority of their seats. Tories and SNP are different sides of the same coin. Both toxic parties for Scotland. I hope labour will do as they promised and get Scotland and the rest of the UK back to a respectable standard of living.
we have to push them to keep to their promises, whatevetr they are we need people to get the opportunity to work full time and not on zero hour contracts, stem the money out of the country etc. we can't expect growth with higher taxes on low earners and living on borrowed money,
Don't expect too much from any political party that puts the welfare of illegal immigrants and the rest of the third world before that of the native Scot's. Starmer has already claimed that Scotland needs more immigrants? Why?
