@@punani_slayer4209 Smash Ultimate is expensive and you need a nintendo switch, which is also expensive. Also, the game is way too big and too new and overhyped imo. Rivals has an awesome, more dedicated community.
@@valpodesideromontoya2097 I also have rivals and I just can't get into it. Smash is much more fun and is a lot more beginner friendly so people like my little siblings can play
@@valpodesideromontoya2097 and I also don't like how you have to pay 19 bucks for rivals and you only get a few characters and all the rest is paid dlc
Nah, they both played amazing and to the strengths of their characters. You don't deserve a win till you take 3 stocks, Mugi deserved to win the set because he did. Deserving it means nothing if you can't seal out the stock.
Magic Llama its not really bs, all you have to do is go to the other side of the stage and hit him there. He knew it would help him out, so he put it there purposefully. Not to mention most of it was kragg being a heavy character, and thats just a mechanical part of the character.
I fkn loved the crowd going "ONE MORE STOCK!" At one point i even said one more stock non sarcasticaly in kragg's favor, I wasn't even really rooting for any of them.
I think it's alright, especially compared to all the other sets I've heard. The other guy seems very knowledgeable and the ee's color compliments it well enough. Alot of Esports actually have a hype guy whose less knowledgeable, but they still know how to commentate so it aorksr
Why is it that Kragg's fair would kill in game 4 but Clairen's F Strong doesn't at a similar percent? Even tho Clairen's F Strong is clearly more punishable. I don't really play Rivals all too much (More of a smash player looking in on a different game) but this really seems off to me.
Rivals has a weight system which determines how much knockback a character receives (similar to smash although). Clairen receives the default 1.0x knockback whereas heavier characters like Kragg or Etalus receive 0.9x knockback iirc.
This game relies a lot on good DI to survive strong hits. It can mean the difference between dying at 30% or surviving until 170%. The weight also plays a big factor and clairen ended up missing his sweetspot. The clairen just got surprised when kragg forward aired him in game four and didnt DI properly. Good DI in smash can only improve your survivability by about 20%, while in rivals its how you survive strong hits at all, unless you got hit at around 30%.
Haven't played Clairen, but just watching it seems like he has a huge advantage. How do you combat that "stun" thing he constantly does? What's the counter?
...bots? You mean they beat out your stuff when you try moves? I have a feeling you're pretty new, so people can likely just predict what you're going to do. If you've played against the guys from the video you'd feel how precise and unrelenting they are, it's just a little hard to see when they're fighting against each other.
plays differently or not, they've literally ripped several moves from two already similar characters. The upB and side-smash are the two most egregious examples
Oh cmon you're complaining the forward smash is the same? It's a sword swipe like there isn't alot of things you can do to make a sword character look different
again it's more than just the F-smash, but just in smash bros alone ike, roy, and corrin all have different F-smashes and they're all from the same series. No excuses, they're just being lazy with the fanservice
