Today we take a deep dive into Mojang's recent Minecraft live event and what what's to come during the next several months of game development. We also talk about a few changes that could be made for the betterment of this new update.
Dude if you can't sleep in the biome just leave the biome for a second and go to sleep and then come back The biome should have a insomnia effect that prevents you from sleeping like the mining fatigue effect in the underwater temple And they should really make it grayscale because the grass and leaves still have a green tint to it which kind of ruins the whole point And maybe they should have a structure that generates in the middle of the biome giving you a reason to go there
Something I don't really like about many newer features is that there's sometimes no reason to go there in survival. Some newer biomes or mobs are just there without providing any function other than being a cool or cute looking mob or being a cool block for building. Mojang should give a reason for survival players to go to the biome. A way that I think would work well is if an active creaking heart was broken with a stone axe or better without silk touch, it should drop "eerie amber" or something like that which could be used to brew a potion that highlights all nearby hostile mobs.
Would definitely want more variety with the creaking, different heights and variations would make a lot more sense aesthetically. Maybe even different amounts of eyes. Certain variations could deal different amounts of damage/effects
I like the idea of a passive mob limiting you from sleep more than the biome itself. I feel like the it would make the the new biome fit more dynamicly with the game and make it not too distinct. Though I would prefer if the mob would hunt down bed, thereby making it the players choice to challenge themselves to sleep as quickly as they can before the mob gets near them. This would also make the pale biome feel more jntimidating and horrific when coupled with the Creaking mob
Yea I think if the player can be as scared as possible while in this biome it will bring a lot of benefit. A mob also fits this need of keeping them awake and interacting with features, and by making that a more risk VS. reward scenario that's challenging like you mentioned above. I think this biome could really use a few little changes and tweaks to bring the biome to the community in it's best possible state.
@@SeanSeipke I think the phantom is annoying because it disrupts the flow of your game. If you’re doing stuff at night, you HAVE to sleep just so the pesky phantoms don’t spawn. Whereas, you wouldn’t normally be chillin in this new biome so sleeping wouldn’t be needed there much, assuming the biome would be rare.
nice idea, didn't think of the not being able to sleep that way but it makes a lot of sense if the hearts themselves just prevented the player from needing to sleep which would also make it even easier to implement.
I agree with the bed feature. There should be a reason to put in effort into sleeping in a bed in that particular biome if all the activity it has is at night. Idk how the experience will be when you somehow incorporate the already existing phantoms though. I do like the idea of there being something to discover like a structure for that risk vs reward. You have great interesting ideas! happy to have seen it
Update is based around the color grey🤦♂️ white washed wood is a type of stain irl but birch is the actual closest to white. What they should’ve done is a type of wood that could be stained(which is what everyone has been asking for) white wood will only be used in places where we already use diorite/wool/ calcite/ concrete, etc. white framed houses just simply look wrong ( only place I see it working is like a suburban house where white siding is normal) but who tf is making a suburb in minecraft😂
