Someone commented that “Nico and Kevin look like two dads doing a tik tok video with their daughters” and it’s so accurate.

I'm not sure if you noticed how Nico and Kevin turned around so cool at the end of the song. It must have been first time done in video. Simply great.

The official live video for the song has also been released. And they are also from fan cams, but it was recently performed live at two music fest, 'Rock im Park' and 'Rock am Ring' in Germany by two bands on the each stages. It has some fan cam videos on yt. Check them out!

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (and group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) ★ The official live video was posted in RU-vid !! The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. Now the 3 girls and 2 boys are doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。

This is a full 50/50 Collab, and you can see that Babymetal really leaned into Electric Callboy's level of fun. Best collab ever! (Maybe but, but one of the most fun I've seen)

After that final drop - when Babymetal is the vocal focus, the background beams are yellow, but when EC is the vocal focus, the beams are white. Just one of those little things that you don't notice until it's pointed out - but using those visual effects to separate their sections.

In a video EC did of them reacting to reactors on this song and video. They stated they only had one take on the walls. No extras had been made. So if they messed it up, it was what it was.

If you haven't done the Babymetal "Road of Resistance" video (the live from Tokyo) version, you will LOVE the videography in this one. There is one particular shot where the girls are almost perfectly framed against a backdrop that might be a hundred feet away from - and to catch that in a live concert performance was damned near perfect.

Pretty miraculous that each one went so well!

And Electric Callboy makes these videos on a relatively shoestring budget. I just think about how much their videos would have cost in the late 90s/early 2000s. They probably would have cost like 4x more but with the same end product.

Here's a brief info about this amazing group: BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher. If you like Jpop and edm elements then you're gonna find a lot of cool songs blended with heavy metal in their latest album "The Other One" released last year. Songs like Divine Attack - Shingeki, METALIZM, Time Wave and Light and Darkness among other great songs as well tracks and live performance from early era will make you bounce and rock with this insane group. This single just reached Number 1 US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands! Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab, the live version is already out if you don't wanna stop enjoying this song. Last weekend they played this together once again at Rock Am Ring and the day before at Rock Im Park in Germany twice in the same day, one during EC show and later at BM show. The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath. About this song: This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions, the office with the suits workers and the Japanese boss kinda represent that. The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's probably used way back before in more songs. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements. The moment when they're bursting the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said. Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown it could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie. When I heard the official audio I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although later fans spotted in the live performance, so it was her after all as well in the third chorus when singing "Everybody". There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture that i probably missing a lot more. Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more. The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song. They met each other last year when BM went to see EC live in Boston and they asked them to work together, this is a 50/50 collab song. Next suggestion: - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official MV (2015). I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get more proshot clips safe to react if YT allows me to do it. Totally correct description. This was the Thing that the video crew had to avoid. Everytime the girls from Babymetal and Nico and Kevin werebin thr same frame, the camera did everything possible to get into a forced perspective shot. Otherwise it would have looked like that.
