The color of the wood on the hutch honestly matches the shelves you have in there pretty well! I wouldn't necessarily paint, but updating the hardware can massively change the appearance of a piece (maybe something more modern and gold to match the mirror?) If you are 100% about wanting to paint it, I think a pale sage green would look lovely!
I agree that just updating the hardware can make a huge difference! Personally, I would also change the colour of the wood as well, by sanding it down and staining it in a lighter colour, so you can still tell that it's wood, rather than painting it and covering the grain.
If you don't have the room for a nursery then don't worry about it. But my son only slept in my room with me for a few days. I brought him home and he slept in bed with me for a few days. He wasn't happy so I brought his Pack N Play in my bedroom. Again only lasted a few days. I tried his bed in his room and he slept through the night. I would watch him and constantly check on him. He just wanted his own space
The fact that you think your house is small is so funny to me 😆 come to the uk and see our small houses and you’ll realise how much space you really have!
Things to hide for Easter next year! My wife and I did the plastic eggs with little wind up chicks and bunnies. A huge hit with our kiddos and the cousins.
As someone who just bought my first house back in December and am finally getting started on several projects, I would absolutely love to see some vlogs of you working on your home projects as well as updates on how things are going! Even planning stages & shopping for these projects would be awesome to see! Currently, I’m completely digging up my garden beds and starting fresh with new mulch and all new plants as well as popping off trim (that was placed between each sheet of drywall to “finish” the drywall…it’s an old home 😂) and taping and mudding the seams for a seamless look. Really thought it’d be a quick and easy project but 3 weeks later I’m still in the same room 😅 currently working around my 1 year old’s nap schedule and only really getting 1 or 2 days a week for the drywall project as well as having to get expert advice, instruction, and demonstration (from my fiancés best friend) hopefully once I get all of the proper tools and really learn the in’s and out’s of working with drywall the rest of the house will go by quickly….hopefully. The gardens are almost done though!

I would love to see vids of your projects/renos! I never saw your dining room before. The doors and windows can always be an issue. What about doubling the size of one of the doors and closing the other? Or making a double doorway in the center of the wall? Of course it depends on what's on the other side. Board and batten would look great in the room.
I’d love watching more house content! I live in a slightly older house in NB and our houses have really similar vibes, so I’d love to steal some of your cool ideas 😉 But I really enjoy realistic and practical home projects and you guys are the best at that! And happy belated birthday!
I don’t prefer my house cause it’s small but I won’t move due to the area and neighbours. And when kids grow up I won’t have a big empty house to clean
