So Bronzers For Dark Skin? Here's A 9 Month Update On If Anything Changed | Too Much Mouth 

Here's my thing: if they can make an eyeshadow shade that dark skinned people use to bronze/contour then they can definitely make those shades in a compact for them.

The nerveeeee of these brands to send you these shades sis 🙄did they even look at your skin before sending you anything? I am UPSET 😡, how can a whole team of PR be this shallow???????

That Fenty bronzer in their deepest shade was so red it looked like a blush. I expected more from them. Hopefully they will do better next year.

I don’t understand why brands are still refusing to make pressed powers and bronzers for us. If you can make dark brown eyeshadows, why can’t you make that?? I’m still trying to find a pressed powder to set my whole face with that’s my skin tone..

There are a million warm, dark brown eyeshadows with a hint of sheen/glow. Why are brands making this so difficult....take one of those existing eyeshadows and put them in a bigger pan! Nobody wants a red/purple/orange matte bronzer FFS 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lip bar bronzers are both amazing, Fabulous brontour by morphe, kovyco, karity have a deep contour kit that have several rich tones, black radiance contour kit, and huda tantour in tan. I know the last 3 are contour kits but they can real bronze and bring warmth back to your face. So yes deeper complexions still have a ways to go.

NYX going to jail for that bronzer. It annoys me when these bronzers are so bad I just don’t understand.

I’m so glad someone is speaking up on bronzers!!! Marc Jacobs is another brand that doesn’t cater to deeper skin tones for bronzers!

Some of these brands should honestly be ashamed. They make foundations for us but not bronzers? It's as if they only made foundations in our shades because of constant complaints and pressure . Now we have to beg for bronzers and it's exhausting. I personally use the Becca multitasking perfecting powder in deep bronze.

I’ve been crying for bronzers the whole year now, especially affordable bronzers. I still use eyeshadows as bronzers because these brands don’t wanna act right. I bought the NYX California Beaming bronzer in the deepest shade and it’s great on my bare skin but once I have a full face on it just sits on top of my foundation and powder and refuses to blend in . So back to eyeshadow I went.

I haven't found one bronzer that can properly bronze extremely deep skin. That's just sad sis, but things have definitely gotten better. These brands still need to do better tho.

Oh, you should check out *Maréna Beauté*, a French beauty blogger talked about these and apparently they are fire. They'll be my next purchase. they have two options (I know these are not bronzers per se): a pressed setting powder called "poudre caresse" in the shade Ébène and a powder Blush called "Blush Tarou" in the shade Chocolat.

Patricia bright has a palette with bronzer, contour and highlight which is quite deep

Black Radiance Pressed Powder in Black Coffee is the goat!

The lip bar has a VERY deep dark bronzer available. I purchased the darkest one. It was too dark for me and im a fenty 440 so im sure girls much darker than me could use it :)

mocha mami is the darkest shade. i get pissed off every time i see that ol' red fenty bronzer lol it is a blush. the sephora makeup artist put in on my face like she did something, i went home looking like a tomato! and what's worse is that i am shade 450 and i doubt it would show up on any shade darker...maybe because i have a reddish undertone i hated the product and was jealous that none of the bronzers worked for me.

Whew this purple shadow tho 😍😍😍 I'm so glad brands are finally starting to come out with bronzers for deeper skin but, as always, there could always be more.

SIS! The Netherlands does not sell most of the products you use. I have been stuck with my Sleek contour palette and Morphe's Showmance forever. It's impractical to order from different countries because of taxes and shipping. We literally have no options, not even MAC!

Danesa Myricks has a powder bronzer that has been on my list to try. She has a deeper complexion and works on a lot of deep skin models so one would hope (but never assume) that her bronzer would work on deep skin tones. It looks dark enough for me online but there are only three shades which’s makes me very hesitant. She does a lot of work with cream products so I could see these being more like setting powders instead of true bronzers. Anyway, she seems pretty amazing and her products are sold in Morphe now so they are getting to be even more accessible.

I currently use the the lipbar bronzer in the shade double date It’s quite glittery but it’s deep ( I use you most times as a shade reference)

i was looking for a bronzer for 3 months. Researching, watching videos, testing products. One day, at a Walgreens I had a bright idea. I bought a cover girl compact foundation on sale, a shade too dark for me. It was my perfect bronzing shade, $3. These brands have to do better.

They want a gold medal and a cookie for having 50 shades (of beige) and unusable shades for darker skin. Meanwhile, they don’t have bronzers, concealers, or setting powders for us. Bite Beauty Multistick in Cocoa has been my go to for contour for a few years.

First of all, Sis, you look GOODT! Do you hear me?! Covergirl has a decent deep bronzer in their Full Spectrum line, color is Ebony.

OMG girl you are so right! I knew a lot of bronzers were launching but it's not until you really look at them that you realize that alot of noise was made but not alot was SAID if ya know what I mean. I do have two product suggestions if you want to check them out .... Kylie (dont side eye me sis just go with it lol) makes bronzers and the last TWO shades are pretty and do work for deep skin... if ya can stomach it but theh are at Ulta and then the lipbar released several shades of a blush/highlighter bronzer duo that are BEAUTIFUL and I loved supporting them because they are a BOMB. I dont know your skin truly looks in person but another favorite I stole from Jackie Aina is the Milani Earth 5 that is a great color and this last one, I wish you would review because I'm scared to try it but I see it all the time and I'm curious is a Becca multitasker product that's advertised as a foundation powder or bronzer and it has DEEP shades. Maybe if you do a bronzer hunt in 2020 you could add those? Anyway, loved the video thanks for the end of year round up and Merry Christmas! Oh wait, wait Morphe has at least two bronzers that are beautiful (again if you can stomac them) one is a duo that's permanently available and I'm not sure if the other was only a summer release but it was very chocolate girl appropriate I love it. Speaking of Indie... lol Beauty Bakerie has that bronzing highlighter palette with a very very deep bronzer and the rest of the colors in the palette are chocolatey skin appropriate I almost forgot how much I like that 🤣

I have to try the ones from Prime Beauty! Also, that Brownie Bite colour from the RayeRaye palette with BH Cosmetics, is literally my fave and I have to use it sparingly! I really wish they made it a permanent single shade!

Thank goodness I'm not the only one that was totally disappointed in that Mented bronzer. I wanted to buy it so bad but I just couldn't waste money on a product that would do absolutely nothing for my skintone. As for the Lip bar bronzers I think you should try double date and staycation. I have them both and they're super pretty. The only thing I dislike about them is the shimmer. I'm hoping they come out with matte bronzers in 2020.

The best bronzer I ever found was the CoverGirl Queen collection in Ebony which is discontinued😩 I've seen so many recommendations but I've been using this one exclusively for 3 years that I have no clue what to do

Morphe has an amazing bronzer for darker shades. It’s called romance, I use it everyday

I use a MAC blush that Nyma Tang recommended years ago

Black Radiance has a powder called Black Coffee that is a great choice for bronzer/contour for dark complexions. It's what I use and you and I wear some of the same shades of foundation.

I was also going to recommend lip bar duo bronzers. I feel like there was one video i saw a while back but i just bought prime beauty chocolate litty and bronzeville. Its still on my wishlist though

I use the sleek contour powder, it comes in 3 or 4 shades. I use dark and it works great.

I was really disappointed to see colourpop discontinued the bits n pieces shade. But I feel like the Mented Cosmetics Season 2 bronzer is a great dupe, if not better shade-wise (for me)

You didn't do the sephora pro face palette.. that has a nice deep shade.

I love the effect of bronzers but it’s so frustrating when so many people who are lighter than me have ten times more options than I do. I’m grateful for the brands creating deeper bronzers for us but the older brands that make bronzers suitable for lighter skin tones also need to step it up

While it's not an actual contour, I have been using the brown shade from colourpop's 'Yes Please' palette. It works great. Not sure why they havent maybe adjusted the formula and made it into a contour shade.

Prime beauty is the only bronzer I can work with, chocolate litty is too deep but bronzeville isn't deep enough, Fenty Mocha Miami was way too red, just blended into my skin
