@@FatesReveal Teach me your ways. In all seriousness though, I dont know how to melt the destroyer like that, it could just be my class choice (Summon) but I never can actually melt it.
I did a summoner death mode run last week and I used ancient ice chunk. Despite the destroyer taking no damage in the first few seconds, a whip and claspers will take out 80% of the probes if you target the coil.
I’m so glad calamity is going back and polishing some of their older items, to make them as unique and visually pleasing as the cooler late game items. I much prefer quality over quantity for Terraria mods, and seeing the devs revisit old weapons is great.
Finally, they reworked the Magna Striker line (Which is probably replaced by that new weapon) It's so terribly underwhelming for a post-Plantera weapon where you have much better alternatives to use
They should really make the profaned soul crystal a pre scal item, because summoners don't got much in terms of damage. Plus that everyone will use scarlett devil against the terminus.
I hope they make a bunch of rogue weapons throughout progression like ichor spear and cursed daggers. Having a stealth strike weapon swap build sounds crazy fun.
old spear of destiny was so much better , it helped me alot with some bosses , it got reworked mid my playthrough , so i got some trouble to adaptate to the new form , was forced to change weapon :(
Does anyone know the mod that allows you to hold the weapon in your hands? I know it’s not the weapons out mod cause that one only shows it on your back. Shown at 2:11
Lament was better back then I’ll give it that, but I still think that it’s viable when you have like 12-13 little squids munching on certain bosses and mobs.
Calamity making changes for the worse yet again. This why I stopped playing this mod. No care for its legacy. 4:38 so its useless before skeletron. Thats great. No wonder why I felt slow asf when I got back into my prehardmode world. Some ugly changes.
It's not useless pre-Skeletron, +35 flight time is a ~44% increase if you're using Skyline Wings. Meanwhile, the flight time regen becomes more and more relevant as you progress and get faster wings. But in any case, if the accessory is useless, nothing is really stopping us from buffing it or changing it. We'll see how it goes.

Player gear keeps getting "reworked" which are mostly nerfs while the enemies remain the same. A lot of the reworked weapons feel bad to use, on top of lowering potential DPS which is a huge factor in Calamity considering how tanky most of the bosses are on top of being bullet hells that do insane damage. Some of the changes (ex. Flame-licked shell, and that one melee weapon that became a pair of scissors many updates ago) seem to be pushing players toward trying to parry/counter attacks, which again doesn't feel very good in a game like Terraria, let alone in a mod like Calamity. Note my experience is from playing the game on Master (previously Expert) difficulty, so it might not be as bad on lower difficulties. Its just my opinion. Some people might like the direction Calamity is going, and I respect that, but I personally don't.
