I'm a Titanfall player (technically not a veteran but I can slide hop and air strafe, rarely manage to edge boost and wall kick) and karlson is basically that with extra ways to gain momentum, also have good luck out there pilot

I've speedran Karlson a few times, but personally I enjoy speedrunning his later game RE:RUN more, if you haven't tried it I highly recommend it for speedruns, if you know what you're doing you can easily finish most levels in just a couple seconds.

2:22 Just a tip, if you turn around and just jump up onto one of the red pads, you can just spam E and pick up the shotgun on top of the pad from underneath it, and that can help you save time by reducing your chanced of falling in the void and also skipping that entire horizontal swing and jumpad thing.

In the level at 3:00, I found a cool technique. If you grab the door behind you, look down, and jump into the lava, you can jump on the door while you're holding it. It's not useful, it doesn't save any time, I just thought it was neat.
