I remember supporting Dundee United when they faced my clubs local rivals in the 1986/87 finals of the Uefa Cup. Sadly they lost 2-1 on aggregate. Also, Dundee U have had two of said favourite clubs swedish players on their ranks, Örjan Persson and Kjell Olofsson.

The Dundee United team from 1980s that won the league & cup were different class. Conquering most of Europe too & so unlucky not to get a European trophy like Aberdeen did around the same time. The new firm were brilliant Fergusson & Maclean top managers with teams way ahead of our times in Scottish football. Would love to see 6 teams fighting for the league. Hearts were a game away from winning it in 85 too. Hope your work helps promote better fan participation for all clubs & for your subscriptions 👍

see this why i like you, no bias, just pure love of football of all kinds i'm enjoying this years title race not a fan of either team but it takes me back 15yrs or more when both teams were going back n forth throughout the season. As much as celtic fans want to hate on rangers and call them sevco, zombies etc (which is childish and has gotten old let's be honest) scottish football suffered with only one team guaranteed to win the title each year, there wasn't much reason to pay any attention to it, but now with rangers challenging both in scotland and in europe i feel like scottish football is seeing a resurgence of sorts
