Sheet rockers cut the hole for you ;) when you run the wire, you place a 'speaker bracket' kind of like a Electricians junction box. Sheetrockers know to cut out the hole. But I mean you can cut the hole yourself if you want to
Maybe they have baffling or movie artwork to put up, maybe movie art work with strips of baffling in between, that’s how I’d do it at least. They are still setting the space up man, lol
@@wyunrealthey can only sound good if the wall is sturdy or it’s super tightly packed with insulation, and the speaker itself has its own separate housing or to the extreme you have one built in the wall matched to specs. Then they can sound good. People who install themselves never do it right bc they don’t pay to have it done right or don’t pay the price of doing research to get it done right themselves.
My guess is that it's the guy's wife. She doesn't want to see another speaker in "her house" but reluctantly agrees to demonstrate how the speakers mount. For the amount of money he spent on those overpriced speakers, she would rather have allocated that money for a European vacation.
Prefer a Built cabinet floor speaker over snapping in speakera in a basic stud wall any day. There is not way these sound any better than a built set of floor speakers. Has to be a give take type of deal.
Cabinet speakers are a great choice - when there is room. In-wall speakers have come a long way, and are very popular with clients due to their space saving design.
@Tym Smart Homes & Home Theaters™ the space is the "take" part I was referencing to. These look like a great set of speakers. Do you do anything inside the stud cavity prior to installing the wall speaker or are you designing the speaker to work with whatever wall you put it in?
@@michaelcarranza8640 Sometimes there are back boxes which helps direct sound. Some speaker models have a back box built into them. In another video we’ll show the in-ceiling speaker for this project. They are getting rubberized back boxes to keep sound from leaking into the kitchen above this floor.
@@SmartHomeBrothers fantastic! What would you guys normally install for something like that? I’m building a home up in Canada and am stuck between a rack in another room and an In wall situation like that.
@@brendon-t it just depends on the project. Most AV racks are behind a closet door somewhere (with good ventilation), it’s less common for them to be a part of the room like this.
Yeah so someone cuts the rock, but you don’t have to have a screw gun to install. If you’ve ever knocked out a home full of speakers, it’s amazing, and 99% of the time the Sheetrock company cuts the hole out for you ;)
Im sure drywall doesn't resonate poorly at all... please tell me this person thought about this and at least made it denser around the speaker otherwise this is just gonna sound noisy, distorted, and sound like dissapointment.
it's cutting the hole perfectly to size and level that is the tricky part- I don't see her with any saws-all or blade- big surprise ! I'm sure she has a cake knife in the kitchen though...
