The thing I love most about this movie is that it doesn't say "traditions are outdated" or "modern methods have no soul." Nobody's right or wrong, it's about the pitfalls of relying on either exclusively. It's something that we can apply to so much of the real world.

One of the greatest and most underrated Christmas movies ever, and one of Sony and Aardman's greatest masterpieces. I love how British it is, it's take on Santa Claus lore, the way is handles the technology vs tradition arguement, and the strong family element. Also, Bryony is a super underrated character.

Hahaha! The theory about Steve’s ‘boyfriend’ is excellent head cannon. Happy someone’s setting the record straight about those are female reindeer, wish it was common knowledge. Your reactions are always great, and this was a fun one to choose. The narwhal song brought me back to high school.

This movie is a straight up masterpiece. You don't just get santa but you get the entire family as the main cast and learn about all this unique and interesting lore about the family from generations. It's really unfortunate not many talk about this film anymore but this is one of the better more recent Christmas movies to come out.

I love love love this movie. As ornery as he is, grand Santa is still one of my favorite characters. He's a cranky old man and he has some of the best lines. I still quote "sock full a sand to the head" to my wife all the time

I don't know why, I just had a feeling you were gonna react to this movie. I absolutely love it. The humor, animation, characters, themes and heart are all phenomenal; I always get teary-eyed at the end when everyone converges at Gwen's house.

Saw this film for the first time when I was flying home during the holidays to visit my family. I liked it so much that I knew I wanted to watch it with them when I arrived. Its one of my favorite holidays films to watch because of how cute (and real) the family dynamic is. I'm glad you liked it too. ^^

This is my family’s favorite Christmas movie; we watch it every year. It’s such an underrated gem. Every time I see it the same jokes get me as much as they did the first time, I watched it. Great reaction!

Btw, this movie was made by aardman animation, the wallace and gromit guys. Theyre a studio based in bristol which is why everything they make is VERY brittish

My favorite reindeer is Rudolph. I think anyone who is kinda outcast would know how Rudolph feels. I've even made a character inspired by the story of Rudolph and favorite Christmas movie is the 1998 version of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Anyway, Happy Holidays to anyone who reads this! Happy to say I’m watching on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas. Loving the way both you and I agree with a fair amount of the points Steve makes. Fully agree, Santa is pretty much useless. Loved your reaction to this and agreeing with the logic the movie sets up right at the start and they continues adding onto. The world building they made here is brilliant. Without a doubt, Bryony is the great, the scene on the boat is hilarious.

Rudolph was made up for an advertisement book years ago, and is therefore not obligatory to be canon. Either that is why he isn't in this movie, or he died of old age before any of these Santas took the mantle. It does show multiple generations of Santa before the ones we follow here.
