Congratulations ! Julie and thank you for sharing your videos as a hospice nurse. The more people understand there is a very thin border between living and dying, the less people will fear death. Knowing what changes to expect and that your departed loved one is still close can take the bitter sting of grief away. When a dying person sees family calling to them its a sign to me that death is not the end. We do continue , just in another dimension.

Hi Julie, since covid struck my wife and I will pop in to see an elderly lady across the street. Currently she’s been put into palliative care. She was fine one minute, and then in palliative care the next. She’s become demented and is due home tomorrow. Carers will be coming in 4x daily. But with no family locally I’m concerned about her at night

I ordered it!!! I stayed with my grandad for 3 weeks. Day and night while he was home on hospice. He was my cornerstone ❤️. I lost my mom (his daughter) in 1972 at 5. He died 25 days short of his hundredth birthday. I left his bedside because my sister pressured me to go greet a guest that had brought by dinner. During that 5 minutes I was gone , he passed. I was so so upset at him for leaving while I was gone those few minutes. I wanted to be with him holding his hand. That was in 2013. I hope he knew how much I loved him. What an impact he had on my life. My mom died alone in a hospital, she’d had a brain aneurysm on a trip to Tahoe. They left us 3 girls behind and she never came back. I can’t wait for your book!!!!

Thank you so much. I found your channel shortly before my husband was officially put on home hospice care after over 18 months of torturing unsuccessful chemotherapy and radiation treatments for metastatic prostate cancer. Your channel gave me the knowledge and strength to better help my sweet husband to not be so afraid and not so unsure of what is happening or that I would be able to stay with him through the end. My wife and I were there when her Mum passed away. From what Mt daughter says, it was pretty text book. She took a last large gasp and she was gone. It was sometime later that she visited me in my garage. I was working away, when I felt a presence, I knew it was her! She came in over my right shoulder circled around me and headed out. I believe in souls and wisps. Always wondered why she passed by. Guess was saying goodbye!

I remember the excitement when I saw my first book, The Permanent Piece of the Puzzle, in book form. I had achieved a Lifetime goal at 62 of printing a book. It was a fiction story but from my emotions of going through the death of my husband and how I dealt with it. It is a feeling that you never forget Congratulations

Congratulations!!!!!😊😊 I have to tell you that you are the light at the end of the tunnel for me. My sister has stage 4 lung cancer, and is currently on hospice. I started to watch your videos in the hope of some kind of comfort I think. Let me tell you, you gave me much more than just comfort. You gave me understanding of what my sister is and will be going through. You calmed my fear I was having for her and myself when my time comes. Please keep up the great job you're doing to inform and even comfort people. You have made a difference in so many lives!!!!! ❤

I’m so so happy for you , I lost my dad 7th December 2023 having watched a lot of your videos prior to his passing you helped me more than you will ever know. I had the strength to watch my wonderful dad pass a peaceful death, my heart is still heavy and the loss is still great but I understand it more having gone through it . What you have taught me is to embrace the fear, respect the process , honour the moment and not to fear death when it is my time . I will embrace the time like welcome friend and spend eternity with all those that have passed before me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤

A memory came back to me from maybe 55 years or so ago. I believe that souls are reused. We went out to visit a friend of my Dad's. When we got there, I asked my Mum if we were ever here before? She said no, I told her that I had been here before. No other memories of that day.

Hi Nurse Julie! I'm a young nurse from Spain. I found your channel because I was looking information about hospice patients to be able to support my patients and their families the best I can. Some years ago, I had the chance of working with hospice patients in Spain. I was (and still am) very inexperienced in the field, but that experience helped me discover this beautiful area of nursing, and that awakened my interest in Hospice Care. I haven't had the chance of continuing working in Hospice because I've been working in some other nursing fields but now I think I have the chance. Since then, I've been reading about hospice care and that got me to your channel. I've been binge-watching your videos and thinking about my experiences in hospice as a nurse. There were things you explained that I already knew (and were a nice refresher) but some other that were new to me. Nevertheless, your way of explaining how the end of life works and normalizing it, is beautiful. I aspire to be as amazing as you are because I'm pretty sure your patients and their families feel calm and protected around you. Thank you for all the hard work! I dunno if I'll be able to buy your book from Spain but I'd be really cool if I could since I'm really really interested in it. I, as a nurse, want to be able to give my Hospice patients, a dignified death where they feel as calm and safe as possible and hopefully help their families in that process too. Then again, thanks for your great work in normalizing death. Lots of love from Spain
