if you understand high level rocket league you’d understand there are many mistakes that cause a goal. Atomic made a mistake by missing his touch to the corner, but he was also left in a terrible position because beastmode made a mistake by overcommitting in the play, and Daniel made the mistake of not being aware of monkey moons challenge. It takes many mistakes to cause a goal, not just one fault.

2 years ago, heartbreak. 2 years later, same. But I really had an amazing time in Fort Worth this year. That semifinal matchup with Furia had me jumping, even threw my hat when the series ending own goal sealed Furia's fate. Beastmode will forever be our true RLCS MVP

The fact is Atomic's mechanics are so well-defined that he missed a ball that was actually a ghost touch. Look at the replay VOD and look at the actual replay; a ghost touch in both perspectives. That just shows you how mechanically gifted G2 is and how something literally microscopic changes the outcome of a grand final. Atomic was trying to hit the ball in such a specific way it ghost touched. Wow. Talk about margin of error. They were a top team each major, won a major, and nearly won it all. That grand final, even if it didn't have a game 7, was a coin flip. Great season lads, you guys are incredibly talented.

@@simply_deity Even if atomic got that touch, he was on zero boost on the wall with exotiik challenging him and him arguably being in a 3v1 due to BDS aggression. There would be no advancements and it would’ve still likely been a BDS attack. It wouldn’t have changed nothing. The result wasn’t up in the air in my opinion because BDS had the momentum and they beat g2 beforehand too so this ain’t some freak result. U can’t stop the moon

@@92Carnage Considering the worst year from NA ever was 22-23, and prior to that NA mainly stayed together with the whole “friends” phase…yes, it is a rebuilding time for NA. And they are actually trying, hence G2. Why do people look at G2’s season as a negative? G2 single handidly brought some respect back to NA by being the most consistent team in the world. Both in their region and LAN against the possibly most dangerous looking EU squad we had seen (except for Galeforce/Dig or BDS season X, but that was just one team…this was 4…no 5 amazing teams). The reality is, NA is actually attempting to be competitive because 22-23 was a breaking point.

Funny enough, NA is actually coming back from the dead. 22-23 was the death of NA. SAM teams coming in and taking spots at worlds, no top 4 placements in Spring and Worlds that year. The 2024 season, there's been G2 actually being competitive. GenG had...moments (?), of being good but was a pretty solid top 8 team until worlds. SSG proved they are also a top 8 team. This is all a huge improvement from the previous season. I do see NA coming back with at least 2 teams next year being competitive with the EU powerhouses. Not saying we will win all the time, but I do think G2 and the LJ/FK team can fight for top 4's and Grand Final appearances.

And yet despite FRANCE (not EU, just France) winning Worlds for the third time in a row, NA did something that has NEVER been done before - we've sent the SAME team to EVERY GRAND FINAL THIS SEASON. EU hasn't done that, now or ever. So cool your proxy ego trip before you make yourself into an even bigger idiot. EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget EU didn't send a single team to a Top 4 appearance this season that wasn't majorly or entirely French players. And they didn't send any LAST season either aside from Team Liquid. France has taken over, and the rest of EU is cooked.
