As far as I can remember growing up, seeing your father on tv fishing Lake Okeechobee pulling them hawgs out of that cover with 12" powerworms was incredible.I learned alot from him and enjoyed every minute of it. As a young boy my father introducing me to the sport of bass fishing in the early 80's and watched him fishing big worms in hydrilla.It put me on big fish as well,over here at Lake Amistad , Tx. Now I am all about Jigfishing for bigbass in deep structure but if it weren't for watching your father I would have never gotten hooked on this sport like father like son #LEGENDS of this sport, God bless you both and your families

We all have tournaments and days like that just thank the lord that you have the opportunity to be there and compete. Im fishing the big bass tour on harris chain in a couple of weeks and last year I lost a big donkey with 10 mins to weigh in . So i know the feeling brother . I wish you well in your next tournament, when its cold and miserable even us northern guys are affected by these conditions, dont feel bad. Its so hard to pattern fish in cold front conditions. When i have a tough day prefish i feel the same way. All you can do is start the tournament as a prefish day. Keep the faith and the next one will be better.

Scott, don't feel bad brother, I retired from the military four years ago, and just started to getting into tournament fishing. My hardest decision right now is to find the right club in order to get the knowledge that I am lacking in order to hang with you on a lake. Remember just like you stated that you can't shot-put bass but you can stand at attention and fish on.

Don't be down on yourself man. You win some you lose some that's just how fishing goes. You and your crew still put out a kick ass video every time and we fans/subscribers support you 110% bud. You're a great angler no doubt about it!

Scott After watching this video I had to comment. I've gotten into fishing local tournaments over the past three years and this years spring has just been plain awful! So much so I have begun to doubt myself which I feel is only making things worse. It was refreshing to see someone with as much fishing knowledge as you be as stumped as I was a week and a half ago at Tappan lake Ohio. A lake btw I've been fishing since I was 12 and I'm 38! I'll get back to watching the last few minutes of your video, but when I saw you almost making a confession to the phone as you were waking up...I saw a man that truly dedicates himself to his profession and his fans / followers! I could only hope to have nearly as good of an experience through my RU-vid this year, as you. Brandon does a wonderful job editing. Maybe I could hire him to give me some editing tips as I'm going to have to learn Adobe Premiere this year, to do my edits. :D Anyways, keep on keepin' on Scott. Love the videos Scott. I believe that it would be a great idea to make a video about how you begin getting prepared for a tournament. Include the very beginning from picking apart the lake map all the way to your setting your rods up and your mindset/strategy for day 1 of the tournament. I believe I speak for much of us watching these videos when i say we would love to see something like this. Keep up the awesome videos!!
