On the 2 pairs, if one of them is jack or better you should just keep that pair since those pay the same as 2 pair. Increases your odds to improve the win with a 3 of a kind.

Don't hold two pairs unless they are under Jack's. Don't waste your time with a full house. Hold the paid above Jack's and let the rest go. My favorite game here in Vegas.

Re: holding 2 pair-my dad (who was an accountant-big numbers guy) taught me that if 2 pair & Jacks or better pay the same, only hold the Jacks or better pair, in hopes of adding another for 3 (or4) of a kind. If you get 2 low pair, then keep them both.

Finally some video poker content! I miss seeing it on the channel! I understand it probably doesn’t do as well as slot videos but it’s fun.

I know it's not the correct percentage play but when I get two pair, with one of them being Jacks or better, I just hold the two cards of the paying one pair hoping for quads. You asked what we think of 2 pairs, when they pay the same as jacks or better, I keep the jacks or better and go for quads instead. If 2 pairs pay 10 units I keep the 2 pairs.

In double-double or triple double poker you hold only AA if you have two pair with aces included. Because of how much better they pay. But in the basic I think holding two pair and going for the boat is the right play. You wait for the quad draw with one pair or 3 of a kind.

This is my game. At our local Indian Casino it only plays up to $2 credits, $10/hand but quads pays $800. Once I sat down and hit a Royal for $4000 then kept playing but on $2/credit. I was laughing because it wouldn't stop paying quads at $800. We had to leave to get to Walmart for a curbside order and my wife kept saying, "we're not going anywhere" lol. I walked away after losing $1,000 w/out hitting quads and cashed out at $8,200. And yes, you only receive 5 credits for two pairs so I hold only one pair if one is J's or better but will hold both if they're under 10's. And I can always tell if a machine is going to pay by the full houses. If I fail to receive a full house in a set period of time I change machines, if I get them regular I keep playing and always end up with quads. ALSO a quad will ALWAYS show up within 20 hands of your first quad so I always increase my bet at that time if I'm not already maxed out. This is a great game to play even players who don't gamble that much because just playing quarter credits quads are a $100 and in this game you almost stay even for awhile, surprisingly more than you do playing Jacks or Better. I pay for our trip to Vegas (ten days twice/yr) playing this game. This game being single DOUBLE BONUS POKER I believe it's called, not the triple play just because they don't offer it here. So you new players give this game a try, great pay back and if it's not paying out just move to a new machine.

Since 2 pair and Js or better pay the same, if you get 2 pair when both are less than Js (7733), it’s best to hold that. If you have JJ44, best to hold the high pair for more chances at 4 of a kind.

You hold the pair if one pair is J-A. If the two pairs are low, pairs hold both and hope for the boat. The theory is both 2 pair and a pair Jacks through aces pay the same. So you are going for the chance of a 4 of a kind face cards (plus all the other winning combinations) and in the case of the 2 low pairs the boat. Neither hits, you still get back the same amount.
