I came across this as we just got back from yet another run on an unusually busy weekend filled with particularly bad calls. It is currently a little after 0400 as I write this and we have had no sleep yet. This is exactly what we needed to hear at this time. Thank you.
My husband is an EMT and he teaches EMT’s. I worked the Emergency dept sowe could see what our partner was doing everyday. God bless first responders, you jump right in no matter the call. The public sometimes forgets that these men and women are ordinary people like us they have families too. There is a special place in heaven for first responders.
I am not in the ambulance anymore, I work now as an EMT for a tribe of native americans. But this still brings me to tears it reminds me why i joined EMS and why i am pursuing it so passionately...

Yep, This video encompasses everything we stand for, and is a reminder of why at the end of collage I chose the walk the Thin White Line, being fed up with seeing my friends and loved one drop like flys because of medical and psychiatric emergencies, now after so many years I'm still an EMT.

The last kid that told me that they wanted to do what I do, my response was "no, kid, you dont. Do yourself a favor and get your RN instead. Youll get treated better by your employers, paid a whole hell of a lot more and at least work some semblance of decent hours. On top of that, your back will appreciate it"..... I guess Ive been doing this too long, but I tell it like it is

I found this this morning and t by e person carrying the carring bvb the girl in his arms, Is Matthew Patterson, I Watch him grow up, he lived next door, He served in Kuwait, and I believed in Afghanistan, He is was a M.P also. He currently a firefighter in Lynn, Mass. His brother Andrew, also served in the Iraq and Afghanistan, Andrewcalso has EMT training, They have battlefield EMT. The oldest brother James is a lifelong miltary personal. Serve a from what I know at Dover, Theur nickname us Angelflight. They just recently lost their mother.
The profession of EMS, still such a young career field, and so conflicting at times. tiring, especially these days. sometimes it feels like we’re playing god as EMS professionals and really just the medical field in the first place. We never let go as humans and especially in western civilization, fear death. Sometimes it feels we must accept death as a part of life, but we don’t. Don’t get me wrong, i love helping people in their time of need and there’s times where intervention-ally it makes sense for us to do our thing. other times it makes you think and wonder.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN EMT I GREW TO LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART SHE LOST HER LIFE TO LEUKEMIA SHE SAID TO ME MASTER TAKE ANOTHER EMT I LOOKED AT HER AND SAID NO MY LOVE NO MY GOLDEN ONE YOU ARE THE ONLY EMT I SHALL EVER OWN I CAN NEVER TAKE ANOTHER ONE YOU MY LOVE ARE THE ONLY ONE I WANT.
