Leo should have gotten an Oscar for this movie. The Revenant was literally just the academy giving him a consolation prize since they knew they fucked up.

I agree, I think Leo shoulda won for this. But I’m not mad about McConaughey winning for Dallas Buyers Club. He was amazing in that and I think showed a side of his acting ability that we previously didn’t know he had. We’ve always known Leo had that range. But def The Revenant shouldn’t have been his first/only oscar. That’s the real crime haha

@@sydneybrown7636 yeah, I guess that’s my biggest gripe. The revenant almost seemed like a “PROVE YOU WANT IT, LEO” kind of movie. It was hardly his best performance. I liked once upon a time in Hollywood, this, and Django better than Revenant for his performances. Point is, he’s deserved an Oscar for a while. And yeah, the academy damn well knew it.

This movie does not feel like a 3hr movie imo. By the time it's over it just feels like a regular ole 90 minute one. It's so good, pacing is great, and acting in epic.

Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” also stars both Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie (and Brad Pitt). Great film, as well.

I agree with you on that one. When you are dating someone who's been with you through thick and thin, all the tough times and still stayed with you. That's loyalty. His second wife wasn't loyal at all, She was out for herself. I draw the line at cheating even though this is a funny movie. But there are things I can also relate to and understand but I've been with my man for 15 years since high school we have nothing, we barely had any money and yet were still struggling but we hold true to each other and are there for each other. We support each other, through good times and bad. I would never trade him away for a richer guy. Or better looking, not in a million years because what we have is amazing and I wouldn't trade my best friend in the world for anything because he's more than my partner he's my best friend.

It's funny you mention your grandpa working at GM, supporting a huge family on that one job. I was just talking to my mom about this- MY grandpa supported a family of 6 on a DODDs teaching salary. (DODDs teachers get paid a bit more than state-side teachers, but still- he was a teacher.) SO I FEEL YOU. It is way too ridiculous these days.

FYI the director of this movie Martin Scorsese is also the same guy who did Goodfellas back in the day. And you mentioned another Leo movie Shutter Island which is also directed by him. You should definitely check more of his movies out. He's absolutely one of the GOATS in Hollywood up there with Tarantino and Christopher Nolan!

Major, please consider The Aviator with Leo, great cast and based on Howard Hughes. Leo’s performance is great - his OCD, and paranoia, plus his wealth - it’s a longer slower movie but I feel it’s really under rated.
